Do you believe in soul mates and a little bit of magic? If you do, then go ahead and purchase this book without a second thought: You will not be disappointed, I promise.
I read the book in one day. I seriously couldn’t put it down!
Tangled Up is book two in The Bachelors of Buttermilk Falls series, but it works perfectly as a standalone. Although, if you ask me, I highly recommend reading Batter Up first, not because you wouldn’t understand Tangled Up but because Batter Up is a fantastic story and it was one of my 2014 top fave reads.
Anyway, back to Tangled Up: Abby and Brandon’s story—which is just as amazing and Emma and Jason’s (Batter Up).
Just like in Batter Up, there are lots of fun-filled town events that will involve the hero and heroine, helping them achieve their happily-ever-after, and this is one of the things I loved the most. The side characters are great, and I enjoyed going back to Buttermilk Falls and being pulled into this quirky small town life. I particularly loved meeting Emma and Jason again, and seeing how things had worked out between them.
The banter between Abby and Brandon is hilarious, and the sweet, romantic moments they share are heart-warming. Both characters have strong personalities but deep down they also have insecurities and fears—faults and obstacles they seem to be able to overcome only when they are together.
I am happy to say that this is a clean romance, and I’m glad the book proved me right, when I say, time and time again, that you don’t need steamy, graphic sex scenes to truly enjoy a story. I loved this book more than I enjoyed others I read which contained lots of unnecessary detailed steamy scenes that annoyed me more than they enticed me.
Even though Abby and Brandon start their “relationship” sharing Brandon’s bed but not their hearts or feelings, there isn’t a single sex scene in the book. They’re all behind locked doors, but there isn’t a single moment you can’t feel the chemistry, the heat and the strong attraction they have for each other.
Tangled Up will go on the virtual shelf in my heart where I keep my favorite books, those that brought a smile to my face, warmed my heart and made my eyes water a little when I reached the happy ending I’d been longing for.
Now, I’m looking forward to the next book. Judging by the excerpt, it’s going to be another 5* read for me and I can’t wait!

I highly recommend this book to all fans of sweet romance and to those who believe there is always a little bit of magic in love—whether we are aware of it or not.

Neeley brings the magic of romance to life with sass and flair in this cute & comical tale. Her creativity & imagination shine through in an absolutely unforgettable way. The seamless and well thought out plot held me from cover to cover while inviting me in to the world that Neeley has created. I love how she gives readers insight into the happenings of the story that the characters themselves don’t have. Watching the action unfold through the solid yet endlessly priceless narrative creates a realistic yet completely magical romance that will stand up through the ages.

The characters in this novel definitely took the story to a whole new level. Neeley not only creates a pair of inviting and fun characters who are easy to connect with, she gives them an extra dash of something special that takes them into the realm of unforgettable. The situations that Abby finds herself in are made even more comical by the fact that they’re of her own making. Brandon’s caring mixes with his confusion at certain things to create a comical bent to a very attractive hero.

Neeley definitely gives Buttermilk Falls an extra twist with this one. My advice to you, if you haven’t read this novel (and the 1st Buttermilk story) DO SO! This is definitely a happy, romantic, unique novel from an author to watch.

2.5 stars!
Story was enchanting with a twist of magic. Characters were good. Then why 2.5 stars? Almost all characters had se* with each other in various stage of their life. For example there is scene in which hero kisses another woman (for longest kiss world record )infront of all including their ex lovers. And hero’s another ex in pregnant with heroine’s brother!😕 clusterf**k much!!
I really wanted to read more from this series but decided not to.

I think the rating is somewhere between 4 and 5, if only there were half stars!

I loved this book so incredibly much, even more than the first one Batter Up which was a happy surprise because I really liked that one as well. These both books are funny and sweet, just right for when you want a little sugar in your life!

4.5 Stars!!

I’m kind of in love with this series right now. The low angst, sweet stories are a perfect summer read and the magical aspect of the bakery are giving me all of the good feels. I’ll be finishing the rest of this series before the month of July is over. ;)

More magic in Buttermilk Falls

After reading Book 1
Batter Up (Bachelors of Buttermilk Falls, #1) by Robyn Neeley

I could not wait to read this, so I borrowed it from KU. To be honest I enjoyed it more than the 1st. I could not really get on with womanizing Brandon Swift but as the story progressed I really warmed to him. Now he is one of my favourite characters. Happy Reading

"Something happened that wasn't meant to be. A little magic is needed to help set us free. With this batter I ask thee. Please reverse Brandon Swift's attraction to me."

When Abby's name appears in Brandon's cake batter–the one that predicts his true love–both of them are in denial.

Despite believing that the batter was wrong and they were not meant to be together, they start a physical relationship that lasts weeks.

Abby believes it is time to start looking for her actual true love, so she takes matters into her own hands, but some revelations lead her to wonder if she's made the wrong choice.

I didn't think I would like this book as much as I liked Batter Up, but I think I might like it more. Here's why:
-Character development. A LOT of character development.
-The plot. Abby's reverse attraction spell played out so interestingly, and it definitely was dramatic enough to keep me wanting more.
-Reasons that are spoilers!
-Seeing Abby and Brandon get to know each other for real.
-Caitlin.
-And more!

Everyone who likes chick lit should read this book. Especially because the sequel is great.

I like the author's comedic romance and a bit of "paranormal" twist in this series. I hesitated on how to rate the 2nd book in this series.

We are brought back to the town of Buttermilk Falls, in this story we continue with Brandon and Abby's story. They were both great as secondary character in "Battered Up" book one. The "PRN twist" was a stretch (yes, it's fiction) and it kept the story interesting. All the element of a good comedic romance is present, but there was a "change" with both main characters. The plot twist towards the end shifted this reader's rating as a whole. (Why go there???)

The third installment should be an interesting read, especially when the readers are given a snippet of the prologue of book #3.

This is an awesome follow up to Batter Up. This story features Abby and Brandon. I love the characters in the small town of Buttermilk Falls and all the social activities they have for the single people of the town. Abby was falling for Brandon and since she thought he was only in it for a good time she mixed up a magic cupcake to make him not attracted to her anymore. Then when she sees him with other women she gets really jealous and wonders if she did the right thing and can it be reversed? You will love the romance and magic of this story!

The second book in the series of the Buttermilk Falls, Tangled Up is the story of Emma's cousin Abby and Jason's friend Brandon. In a twist the story starts off with the couple already together and how Abby casts a spell to make Brandon forget about their time together because she doesn't see Brandon committing to their relationship in the long term. Will the couple find their way together and will they still find each other as their soul mates, this makes the rest of the read.

The story line is good and the book is clean from overly intimate scenes. You could read this as a standalone, although you might get a better understanding of the dynamics of the relationship between the characteristics if you've read the first book.

Sweet magic!

Brandon is definitely not relationship material, no matter how hot and steamy their nights together are, but Abby is addicted to him and can’t stay away. Once she admits that to herself she knows there is only one solution if she is ever going to have a future with anyone else and she is just the one to do it. In spite of her cousin Emma’s warnings, Abby gets out her Aunt’s spellbook and bakes a cursed delight to make him forget about her, not knowing that she will live to regret it.

The book has magic, romance, and regret with some cute plot twists and humor. I really enjoyed the story and loved the ending.

CUTE AND ENTERTAINING ROMANCE

Cute and hilarious story about Abby and Brandon whose nightly hook ups appear to be casual without commitment until she puts a spell on him. Once she puts a reverse spell on him and it works; she realizes she has made a huge mistake. Abby then plans to try and win back Brandon's affection; but unfortunately there are too many hurdles to overcome along the way. The story intensifies with other characters bringing major events that will impact the outcome of their relationship.

Cute fast read

This cute book is next in the Buttermilk Falls series. It follows the life of Abby- the cousin of the girl in the first book. Her life really does become a bit of a tangled up mess when she casts a spell that she probably shouldn't have performed. The girls are witches, but it's not an overpowering theme in the books, it's more like they have bewitching powers over men.

This one was cute too, but I did think that Abby made a foolish decision when she did the spell to make Brandon forget. I knew at some point he would find out and that it wouldn't be good. I was surprised that Brandon didn't react worse. The one nice thing that happened to Abby and Brandon was that they took the time to get to know each other the second time around and it wasn't them just falling into bed. I'm glad things ended up good for them because they deserved to be happy.

This second book in the series was a second chance romance with some surprises in store. I loved this one and enjoyed getting to know Abby & Brandon better. It also explains a few things I didn’t quite catch when I started this series at book 4 (because it was a free one since it’s a Christmas story). The next one should help explain the ghosts in this town. Can’t wait! 🍿

It all about Caitlin and should bring the drama…hence the popcorn. She’s about to spill some tea for sure.

Fun and Quirky romance with a little magic included. I gear toward magical stories and this one is mostly loving relationships with a little magic, but it reminds me of "I Love Lucy," since Abby is always getting herself into a pickle, but she doesn't mean to. In the long run, what she tries to end becomes a clean slate between Abby and Brandon and makes their relationship stronger.

A cute, quirky story with a small town vibe and characters that grow on you. The book is definitely good for light reading with a fairly strong plot. If romance is your thing, be sure to check out this book for a magical adventure. Since this is a series, I would definitely recommend getting all four books.

Adorable

Felt like something light and this was exactly what I needed. Absolutely adorable, and heading over to get the 1st one! Just enough sexiness, not implicate. No swearing, just a lovely story. Just missing a magical cat or dog!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Even more so than the first in the series, which was cute, but nowhere near this level. For a cute, quirky, fluffy romance look no further than this series. Can’t wait to pick up the next one later this month.

2.5 stars, because it was reasonably well-written. I just didn't care for the characters or plot, though I did finish it.

Cute and fluffy. I like this series. It’s the equivalent of a Hallmark Christmas movie. It’s exactly what I needed to balance an important but difficult book I was reading at the same time.

A whole lotta love!

In Buttermilk Falls a bit of witchcraft makes folks fall in love, everyone loves baked goods and lots of "hunks" abound!
