What If Rainbows Were Your Shadows?: And Other Poems

What If Rainbows Were Your Shadows?, a debut collection of poetry is a gentle blend of stark realties and dreamlike fantasy, effortlessly echoing our lives. The collection of poetry illustrates our strong eternal ties to living and non- living things, to love, the visceral divine intuition and the sweet drama of nature. The poems are a curious mix of earnest wishes, unspoken prayers, dreamy love stories along with the play and drama of a fired imagination.

Some of the characters in the book escort you to a world of robust imagination, like the ‘Dreamcatcher’ who plays an intense female warrior or the Moon that plays a Queen. As you stroll across the book you will also meet a grasshopper and a snake, a strange couple to be locked in a love so naïve. The collection of poems in the section called a ‘Tribe of warriors’ explores the ecstasy and insufficiency of motherhood. Here the poet touches upon some important topics such as grief, miscarriage, the joys of raising children and the struggle to find the ground beneath the tall mess of motherhood.

What If Rainbows Were Your Shadows?, has been a vent-space, quiet-space and heal-space through all the treacherous learning curves, the joyful love and everything in between for the poet. She deeply cherishes these words that often gave her relief, comfort and held her in a quiet calm as she marched towards healing. It is only her hope that the book offers the same sense of quiet hope, joy and healing to her readers.

What If Rainbows Were Your Shadows? by Anusha Veluswamy is a collection of visceral poems rocking you back and forth, as you flip the pages. Of late, I have been reading quite many poetry books. All of them represent modern poetry, where mostly rhythm is compromised for a mere expression - an expression in couplets or micro tales that have a word in a line to create that alleged 'rhythmic' effect. However, this book didn't disappoint me and I am glad to have been able to read it.

With a perpetual beauty that flows through each poem, the author attempts to portray her relations with words. It appears that she has had a deep connection with the art of poetry that reflects in how she weaves her words. Divided into three parts, namely Unspoken Prayers, A Tribe of Warriors, and What if your Rainbows were your Shadows?, the book directs us towards experiencing the bountiful nature, acknowledging the women, and embracing love and letting go too.

The poems gently introduce us to the prevalent kindness we often miss to see. They take us to mountains, plants, sunshine, sparking joy in our hearts. Then they proceed towards befriending us to the key elements of a woman - love, loss, motherhood. And thereafter, they take us on a ride of love, love that is most wanted, most misunderstood, most ecstatic, and yet most heartbreaking. And in between all the themes discussed, the author brings many symbols and narratives to the table. Be it personifying the objects or entwining us with nature through her words, she did a good job of conceiving and bringing out this book.

The language is lovely and I cannot emphasize enough how well it bode with the intent behind it. The poems are delightfully relatable serving you a mix of melancholy and ecstasy. I absolutely loved reading this book and if you are somebody who loves poetry, go for it. I am sure you will end up liking it.

Actual Rating: ****1/2 (4.5/5)

Anusha Veluswamy’s poems have beauty and empathy oozing out of them, and they hold the capacity to make your eyes moist with feelings so dear. Very peacefully shrouded by a feminine touch, the poems whisper into your ears the vibrations of raw ecstasy or the shudders of naked grief. Vast and promising, her poems tend to evolve, and they take you along.

This anthology is structured into three parts—while the first part harps on the theme of nature’s beauty and evolution of hope, the second part deals with motherhood: the joys and pains associated with it, and the third one talks about love, affection and heartbreak.

In case you want to experience the tantalizing rhythms of joy, various kinds of it, then this book will speak to you even more. In case, you want to echo your feelings of supressed grief and smothered feelings of congestion, this book will resonate in your heart like never before. In all, this book will give a kaleidoscopic view of love, sorrow, awe and other non-descriptive emotions.

For me personally, the first section of the book was utter magnificent. It harnessed the quality of keen observation in daily life, to instil understanding and faith in mundane, regular objects and happenings. In this part, the poems project the poet’s own vividness of experiences, and she doesn’t shy away from expressing herself to the core. Buoyed by this sense of pure attention to detail, these poems rise headstrong into the sky.

Anusha’s poems have such proximity to life in general, that they seem closer and closer to you as you go on reading them. She draws inspiration from everyday snippets of life, and elaborates on the way they have made her feel. She sometimes takes you back down her own memory lane, and sometimes she leaves the interpretations to the readers. Using beautiful metaphors and comparisons, she makes her verses lively and attractive. The usage of ‘free verse’ and not complying to any specific rhyming scheme, makes the poems appear only in the light of pure expression. Equipped with the literary splendour, this anthology of poetry makes a rightful place in my list of essential recommendations !

Description:-' What if Rainbows were your Shadows' is a collection of beautiful poetry penned by the poet. It totally took me on a world full of fantasy, dreams, love and deep things about life. It was so impressive that I just finished it in one hour. This is a soft and swift read which can totally touch your heart.

I felt the efforts the poet made while writing these beautiful crystal words. I gelt as if someone spoke out the things that I wanted to express since a long time.

The book has 3 parts: 'Unspoken Prayer', 'A tribe of Warriors' and 'What is Rainbows were your Shadows'. The poems are free-verse and were enjoyable!

My personal favorite poems were 'Untether', and the last poem, which declares the title apt,
'What if Rainbows were your Shadows'. The cover could have been better rather than just yellow.

I totally recommend this! :)

An awesome read!

Someone once told me "You can never truly finish reading a poetry book", and to date, whenever I read poetry, I am amazed by how true those words remain.

The book is a small collection of poems divided into three parts - Unspoken Prayers, A Tribe of Warriors, and What if Rainbows were your Shadows.

The first part talks about the nature of things from daily life, more precisely, the author's take on those things. The second one, as in the words of the author, "Words on motherhood, loss, love and children.", and the third one, on "Happy Love, Sad Love, & Some More."

The thing about modern poetry is that you will either be able to relate to it, making it an awesome read or if not, it will be just words on a paper making no sense. When I say relatable, it does not mean that you have to see it exactly the way the author did. There are always your own versions of the story, just the outlines match a bit. Most of the poems in the book are relatable for everyone in general, and that's what makes this book awesome.

What I loved most about the book is how the author has explained her perspective on the poems by explaining what certain words like Music, Bubbles, Sparrows, etc. mean to her, and in certain cases, the feelings, or the situations behind certain poems. She puts you in her own shoes to make you understand what the feeling would have been, and that is the best that I can expect out of poetry.

Given that this is a debut book, it deserves all the love there is.

Ciao

This is an anthology of poems . There are three parts each containing 7-8 poems.
Part one is based on poems that express blissfulness found in the nature.
The author talks about the beauty that resides in the lap of nature. Rain , sunshine , mountains , rivers and the tranquility we find there but also a childlike joy that splashes out of it.

Part two has another set of poems with hues of different aspects of human relationships and vivid emotions . These are spun with words on motherhood, loss, love and children.

The part three consists of poems that are painting with colours of love. That which bring nostalgia and bit of melancholy but also love that bring a warmth inside your chest .

Such poems are simple , soothing , emotionally engaging and somewhere lights up memories . They are fresh but few donot follow rhyme style of poetry which I actually try to search in collections. Title is beautiful . poems are not having loads of allegy so it is suitable for compression for all types of readers. Few I understood easily. Few 's essences I could not grasp easily. Nice collection expressing thoughts that can be related with daily life. Good book for a calming evening tea time read.

Every word stood stark and nude,
she clenched them tightly in her jaws,
lest them may spill over as the racking sobs.
Every word reached out to tickle her funny bones and the grumpy ones too.
She laughed and cracked open,
the mute tears promised witness.
Every word rocked her way,
To lands unknown; treasure unseen,
But she returned,
Always.
With a heart full of hope and eyes to dream some more.
Every day, with every word.
.
What if rainbows were your shadows is a beautiful and serene compilation of poetries which are divided into three parts.
The first part is about unspoken prayers where in 12 poems are based on moon, dreamcatchers, Author's love for books, nature and wilderness.
The second part is titled A tribe of warriors where in the Author speaks about motherhood, love and child birth. She also shares her of parenting and also some things about miscarriage too.
The third part is titled what if the rainbows were your shadow in which the Author speaks about love both happy and sad.
I loved the part in the ending where Author described how the poetry are connected with her life and what they mean to her.
I loved how she spoke about being a mother and going through parenthood.
This compilation is worth reading on a rainy day with hot pakodas and a cup of your favorite beverage in your hand.

What If Rainbows Were Your Shadows' by Anusha Veluswamy is a debut book but it nowhere felt like it! Her poetry felt like a river eternally flowing. There were poems that made me feel things and others which broke my heart a little. The book is divided into 3 parts. .
.
Part 1- Unspoken Prayers
Part 2- A Tribe Of Warriors
Part 3- What If Rainbows Were Your Shadows?
.
.
And the poems listed in every section are gorgeous. I felt like reading them forever. There were times I didn't want a poem to finish and there were other times when I read a poem over and over again. There's a poem named 'Black & Blue Beaded Beauty' which is about a dream catcher on the surface but about a lot more if you delve deeper. I read it thrice because of the way it is written. .

The way the poet uses personification is another thing that I really liked about these poems! Be it music, a dream catcher, nature, or anything else, personification alleviates the attached meaning to the words. The poem 'A Song' is a delight for every music lover.

The uncanny and pure representation of nature adds to the whole experience of reading this one. I tried to think about what the poetess would have had in mind or how her imagination would have went to places like those and I couldn't. If you are looking for a fresh and beautiful anthology of poetry I recommend you pick up 'What If Rainbows Were Your Shadows?' I promise you won't regret it!

What if Rainbows were your shadows? Is a poetry collection divided into three parts - Unspoken prayers,  A tribe of warriors and What if Rainbows were your shadows?  The poems in this book are related to nature, insufficient motherhood, parenthood, love, loss, duties, hope and many more unsaid emotions and things.

The poems are powerful and have a very deep meaning. They are from the different phases of the author's life, which was relatable for me because I too do that. Poetry is my escape in difficult times of my life.

I loved the second part  of this book i.e. 'A tribe of warriors'  because it was extremely powerful and emotional but very brave at the same time. This section specifically deals with motherhood. There's a poem in this section called 'December 19' which the author wrote when she had a miscarriage. This poem is so strong and it shook to the core that I waited for half an hour to think over it. Grief is a private agony but writing about it makes you feel lighter, and this poem proved this fact.

I was kind of expecting a lot from the third section because the book is named after it, but some poems slightly disappointed me.

The most amazing part of this book is, the author made sure to write the backstory behind some poems which made the poems easy to understand. It was easy for me to make sense out of poems except one or two.

My personal favourites other than 'December 19' are Without a Pause, Celestial Prophecies, A book drunkard, Choices and self-love.

You should read this book:

1️⃣If you are looking for some short poetry read
2️⃣If you love meaningful and deep poems with a very strong language
3️⃣If you are tired of reading poems based on love, romance, heartbreak, abuse, etc.

This book isn't for you If you like straight poetry and don't understand the metaphors.

Overall, I loved this book. It's a short read and a soothing one. Also, this is one of the most unique poetry collections I have ever read. And just look at the cover and title, it's so amazing!

I recommend it to everyone who wants to read some unique and powerful poems.

I never knew a book can make me feel so much without making me experience that pain in real.

What if rainbows were your shadows is a collection of heart wrenching poems that are divided into three parts.

First part is - Unspoken Prayers: this section is dedicated to nature and the beauty of it. Author has subtly penned down all the poems that are so nostalgic and beautiful to read. You will have a sense of belonging with this nature as you flip through the pages.

Second part is – A Tribe Of Warriors: this whole section talks about kids, motherhood and love it brings. This part is my most favourite. I felt each and every emotion penned down by the author although i have never faced anything in real life. This part shows how fragile hope actually is and how our life can get shattered in no moment.

Third part is - What If Rainbows Were Your Shadows: this section is filled with poems on love of all kind depicting various emotions one faces in love.

Writing style of author is perfect for a book like this - a poetry book. Language is the most beautiful as well as the confusing thing at the same time in general but when people simplify it, it comes out to be more meaningful. In this book, author has actually given notes after every poem to make us understand the importance of that poem or the subject around which the poem actually revolves.

This book will interest people who love to read poems that are not straight forward, having used metaphors to explain things. However this book will not be good for people who don’t understand metaphors or who don’t understand complicated poetries at first place.

What i liked the most about this book is the touch of real emotions this book offered me. I loved second part of this book the most as it talked about motherhood and art of raising kids. It is indeed very difficult to go through the pain that mother goes every time she conceives but it is she, mother who enjoys this process as she welcomes a new life in this world. The poems in second part are so deep that i feel every woman should read this book at least once in her life to understand about motherhood and sometimes the misfortune it brings with it.

" What if Rainbows were your Shadows?"
>>swipe right for my favourites>>

This book is a collection of poems by author Anusha Veluswamy and is devided into three parts
.
➡️ First part is 'Unspoken prayers' and is all about nature, written so gracefully depicting poetry in it's purest form. It talks about lands and rivers, rain and sunshine - a surreal description of our mother nature. Being this as a debut work of author, it is estimable.
There is one particular poem related to dream catchers and i was in awe of how metaphorically author has presented the beauty and perspective of dream catchers
.
➡️ Second part is 'A tribe of warriors' that says about motherhood, pregnancy, miscarriage and parenting, and it my personal favourite . While moving forward with each and every word my heart felt heavy. I could sense the agony of loosing 9 months of hope, torment of being deprived of love and warmth of your newborn. It's magical how author has penned down the uneasiness, inconvenience, loneliness and fear that comes hand in hand with the "good-news" and what all a mother has to bear to bring that new life on earth. Indeed she is a warrior
.
➡️ Third part is "what if Rainbows were your Shadows?"and mainly about love, heartbreak, self love and other things relatable. I was impatient to read this so as to explore from where did this masterpiece got It's title. But it turned out to be a disappointment for me . Maybe i expected too much!

You're going to love this book if.
🔹You love reading some short poetries
🔹You like meaningful poetries instead of cliche ones
🔹You are looking for an easy read with strong language and valuable content
.
❎You might not end up liking it if you face problem while reading poetries with metaphors

Overall it was a wonderful book with oh so beautiful cover and so many learnings for takeaways. I would recommend this books to everyone out there.

What if Rainbows were Shadows? and other poems is a collection of poems which are based on varied themes and topics.Nature, Motherhood and Love are prominent themes on which the author had penned down poems, which does manage to touch one's heart. Poetry collection is divided into three different parts in the book- Unspoken Prayers, A tribe of warriors, What if Rainbows were your Shadows ??
.
First part mainly consists of poems based on nature, various elements of nature, daily life around us and surroundings. Was really amazed to see a poem on 'A song ', which is a treat to people to enjoy listening to music. Loved 'Beauty Defined', the most from this part.
.
In the second part of the book, the author writes about motherhood, love, loss. This part is my most favourite part of the book, where the author had penned down poems, with such grace that they manage to keep the reader glued to lines, while reading. From art of raising babies to delivery tables to choices, the author narrates poems on topics which a reader would easily relate too. On the delivery table , A Girl I know and Choices are some of my favourites from this part.
.
Third part, is an amalgamation of poems which are based on various themes like sad love , happy love, time ,hope ,self love and many more.
I loved ' What if Rainbows were your Shadows? ', from this part the most, and on which the book is titled other than self love, flawed, and free hope.
.
All poems are diverse in nature, which is one of the reasons why I loved this book. Author had done full justice to themes like motherhood, hope, and more, they were really thought provoking, deep in meaning to read. Author had woven beautiful poems, which manages to make one think upon reading them. Though, I wasn't able to connect with a few.I enjoyed reading this book. And would really recommend it to people who love reading poetry!!!!

Book filled with amazing poems

Poem shows our life that are filled with emotions and feelings. Here, the book is divided into three parts that shows our connection with the things of nature along with the things that are part of our life. Part 1 known as unspoken prayers is the collection of 12 beautiful poems that are taken from the things that we see in our daily life along with the things that are happening around us. Part 2 knows as A Tribute of Warriors shows love, care, emotion, loss and motherhood. Part 3 the best part of the book knows as what if rainbow were your shadows different love and some more beautiful poems.

Each and every poem mentioned in the book is unique. It has everything that connect us with the things which we see, which we can feel and through which we can learn. Love stories pf the nature are beautifully shown. Love for children, hope, self-love and many more. Every part of the book has different kinds of poems that connects us to a new kind of emotions that are made into a beautiful book.

Part 1 contains poems like plan, surrender, play of light and others that connects us with the living and non-living things of the nature. Part 2 contains poems on a girl I know, art of raising babies, all of mine, choices and others. What If Rainbows Were Your Shadows? : And Other PoemsAnusha Veluswamy
If you asked me a couple of months back whether I am a big fan of poetry my answer would have been a definite NO!! But now whenever I feel low or whenever I want to have a "light" read in between I turn to poetry genre solely because of authors like her cause they have made me fall in love with them.
.
'what if rainbows were your shadows' reached me quite unexpectedly and I loved it!!
.
The inner meanings that each of the poems offered me is phenomenal. The entire book is divided into 3 parts and is named
🌻 Unspoken prayers
🌻 A tribe of warriors
🌻 What if rainbows were your shadows
And all the poems served justice to each of the parts mentioned. Its definetly a collection of poems which makes us feel various "humane" feelings over and over.
.
I strongly felt a combination of pain, hope and a kind of "being responsible" feelings throughout. It was definetly an 'eyeopener' in various aspects surrounding me which we humans neglect in our day to day life. The physical and emotional pain of mothers to give oursleves a life and the pain of loosing a child is described intricately with a huge deal of emotions which I loved to the core.
.
The language used is simple that any person who don't regularly read poetry can grab the meanings offered by them. Its a short and must read for all poetry lovers.Highly recommended and I'm eagerly looking forward to more of her works.
.
Happy reading

I'm starting to live with poems these days... And regretting why I didn't start to read them early. This one is going to be the one that is close to my heart forever. The reason is that I can see myself scattered, put together, and rejuvenate by these poems. I relived and recapped my dreams through the words. I wondered how she captured all of my fantasies, my dreams, my pain, my turmoils, my joyous, my love exactly in her words. Then realized most of us are living in the same fantasies without realizing it.
This book divided into three parts as Unspoken prayers - poems about things we experience in our daily lives. Like bubbles, a simple prayer, a dream catcher (well I didn't know that was used to catch bad dreams), a little sparrow, a flight journey (I experience a lot in flight journeys), a moon (Queen of nights is one poem I'm reliving again and again)
A tribe of warriors - is about the motherliness, motherhood difficulties, relationships between parents and child, and the pains we experience when we don't have a choice. The mere touch of our child is itself a poem and giving the words to that feeling is a most serene prayer to nature.
What if rainbows were your shadows? - is all about love, love, and more love. Love is the most overrated word in our youths and most underrated word in our elder generation but love is something that we can't explain in the words. Only the feeling gives you goosebumps and makes us go on our knees. Isn't it?
Overall, these poems got me sometimes off guard and I stumbled upon my steps, sometimes wrapped around me like a warm blanket in a cozy winter. Thank you so much for this book. I escaped reality and live in a magic realm at least for a while.

Poetry is one of the most beautiful genre, and I am always eager to look into new work, as it is diving into a completely different pond of emotions.

The expressions, connection with Reader and reflection of reader's own personality are some very important elements of poetry.
Reading this book was a great experience.
The expressions and the presentation of the poems is very distinctive, special mention to the use of language.
Though I have felt a significant blurry purpose and topic of the writings.
That I say as there is deviation from the actual mood of the poems, and it makes the charm amd the vibe of the poem distributed.

You start with an awe and then in between it goes to okayish type and then at the end we again pick up that feeling, so it is up and down. Not in all writings but the is a significant number when I felt This.

The intricate composition of them is one of the first things that I admire, from the title of the poem to the subjects it is beautifully done and it makes me read further.

But most of the time I was searching for the relatable feeling and subjects which make the reading experience better.
There aren't many of these, the approach of writing is is different from what we usually read and this change is appreciated from my side I liked the experiment with different styles which definitely makes the collection of poem a RAINBOW.

I like it enough to recommend this book to my friends who like reading new poetry, but the spectrum of styles and complexity makes me think before recommending it.
It would be really great if you look at some part and then proceed further.
But at the scale of whether or not you should check it out it is 8/10!

Poetry ,the lyrical treasure , inhabits the space between straight words and music . Poems are like the soft summer breeze that gently caress you ,leaving you mesmerized and longing for more …Unlike a fiction or a non -fiction book that one typically wants to race through ,poetry requires one to take it slow ,enjoying every bit ,every emotion expressed and those, left between the lines.
What if Rainbows were your shadows?: and other Poems is a debut poetry collection by Anusha Veluswamy . The book is divided into 3 sections :-
1) Unspoken Prayers
2) A tribe of Warriors
3) What if Rainbows were your shadows
The author has given the background for each section . Though the poems are by themselves quite intense ,the background helps the reader to capture the essence . The poems have a lilting feel and grace about them .
‘The whispering sighs of a gentle song,
A soft breezy lullaby,
The beating space: heart and soul,
Words flowing along,
The 2nd section deals with motherhood ,the disappointments and the victories .The loss of a pregnancy is not considered a real loss by many . But for the mother it’s as real as it could be . The author’s poem December 19th deals with this thought . The oppressive ,numbing grief reaches out with its cold fingers and takes hold of you in a vice-like grip .That’s the strength of the verse here …
The language is simple and the book can be read and enjoyed by even those readers who don’t read poetry .I quite enjoyed the collection ,especially the first section ..A very good effort for a debutante writer ..

"What if Rainbows were your shadows" is a poetry book that sparks JOY.⁣
⁣
I've been an ardent reader of modern poetry and I'd irrevocably admit that the genre is either a hit or a miss and this one definitely managed to tug my heartstrings.⁣
⁣
⁣
The poems are categorized into three parts and the poet sways between different themes:⁣
⁣
UNSPOKEN PRAYERS : Where Veluswamy speaks of gratitude towards nature, of enjoying the little things in life and how we are embraced by kindness all around and how it only takes our perception to appreciate it. ⁣
⁣
A TRIBE OF WARRIORS : An ode to women, to mothers and those who have loved and lost. Fierce and defiant, defeated but persistent. And always ready to sacrifice, the poems in this section truly defies what being an woman especially a mother is.⁣
⁣
WHAT IF YOUR RAINBOWS WERE SHADOWS : Anusha, took my heart away with the final poems and the simplicity they held. The fleeting love and promises of an ethereal forever and the moments of longing and loving are so gracefully phrased that my hopeless romantic heart couldn't help but flutter!⁣
⁣
All in all, I am definitely recommending this one if you love poetry :)⁣

Poetry is the genre of literary writing where the poet gets the freedom to express all the he feels through little words and leaves most to the reader’s thoughts. “What if rainbows were your shadows?” by Anusha Veluswamy is a collection of poems which are a testimony to the changing moods and different ideas the author has in mind.
The diversity of her work is such that for once, she sounds wordsworthian in her nature poems like “Play of Light” or “The Plan” or even “Passing Through the Heavens”. At the same time, she comes across as a representative of the womenfolk in her “A Tribe of Warriors”. Her literary talent as a poet is further hihglighted in “What if Rainbows were Your Shadows?” (part III) and the poems written in this part.
The lovers of poetry should read this collection and understand the different shades of Veluswamy as a poet and an artist. The author uses a language friendly to the reader through her simple language, attempts to convey her thoughts through a diversity of themes that she talks about in her collection. The title, “What if Rainbows were Your Shadows?” also has a kind of paradoxical touch to it. It makes the readers wonder about the thoughts that the poet is going to present and on the surface it seems like she is going to talk about the different sides and situations that come in a person’s life. That makes the book like an all round need making reading a memorable experience for the readers.

What If Rainbows Were Your Shadows is a bittersweet, warm and cosy collection of poetry and a little bit of prose.

A collection of nearly forty-eight pieces, the book is divided into three parts. The first part is the one my heart goes out to the most. It is mainly based on nature and love and oh how beautifully it is written! So full of grace, it is poetry in its truest forms. I could even sense a little bit of John Keats in the words; and for a debut author weaving that magic with her words, is absolutely amazing.

The second part talks about motherhood and I was astonished to see, for the first time in my life, poems about being a mother! The piece 'On The Delivery Table' moved me and I was in awe of the author for it described childbirth and who knew there's poetry in that too! The third and final part talks more about love, heartbreak and everything in between.
The writing flowed so smoothly, both the rhymes and free verses touched my heart dearly. In and all, What If Rainbows Were Your Shadows is a collection of some beautiful, moving, soul-soothing poetic pieces and if you really enjoy poetry, you should definitely get it.

Isn’t the title ‘WHAT IF RAINBOWS WERE YOUR SHADOWS?’ intruging and hook people who seek wisdom and beauty in words? And before you start reading the book, try reading the description, for it sounds more like poetry!
😉
✨
It has three parts in it.
Part 1: Unspoken words
Part 2: A tribe for warriors
Part 3: What if rainbows were your shadows?
✨ I would like to share the first few lines of the poetry! ‘The whispering sighs of a gentle song,
A soft breezy lullaby,
The beating space: heart and soul,
Words flowing along,
Has it ever touched you?’
✨
Yes… Yes… Touched my heart and so your magical words!
Her alliterations made me reread the poem- ‘Oh black and blue beaded beauty!’
✨
And here are the reasons why I adore this much!❤ First of all the arrangement of words… You make me love poetry more and more!
✨
Then the way she used all the poetic devices, makes the poetry rich!
✨
Surely, she grabs me inside through her questions in the poems ‘What if rainbows were your shadows?’
✨
Thank you so much for such a memorable and beautiful set of poetry! Waiting to read ur other books!

Author makes sure you feel the every single bit of emotions in every god damn poem.
'What if Rainbows Were Your Shadow" is a love letter to the unbowed spirit of Nature, Motherhood and love, the universal emotions. The book is divided into these three themes itself.
The beauty of 'What if Rainbows Were Your Shadow' is that even if you're entirely unfamiliar with the poetic world like I was, the book stir your soul because author tackle the material with great skills.
.
48 poems divided in three themes author creates a cocktail of beauty, lyricism, nature, celebrating motherhood, earnest wishes, dreamy love stories, imagination. This is a poetry of descent that will shift something inside you.
Each poem are filled with honesty both in the way author consider herself and way she interacts with emotions.
It's is sweet, sanitized and somewhat simplistic book that debutante author tells with a light touch and lot of heart.
It's warm, emotional, imaginary and leaves you with a big smile on your face.

This book is divided into three parts - Unspoken Prayers, A tribe of Warriors and What if Rainbows were your shadows. This book is full of emotions and each and every poem touches your soul for sure. The author has interestingly connected few of his thoughts appearing in the poem with his own experience and life. He explains that why he thought so while writing that particular line. You'll find some references at the end of the book that makes the whole experience more lively.

There are various topics that the author has touched and I was assumed that he wrote so many poems and each and every one was different from the author.

There were few poems that were easy to comprehend but some of them are very complicated as well. The writing style various thoughout the book. Maybe the author wanted to keep the book open for all. For easy readers and for those as well who are into deep poetry.
I would like to recommend this book to poetry lovers but not to the ones who are the beginners of this genre.

A delightful concoction of emotions.

🌿 This poetry book is divided in three parts each part representing poems on a different theme.
Part 1 is titled unspoken prayers and has poems on the theme of passionate nature, its wilderness and also on daily and mundane life
Part 2 is titled A tribe of warriors and focuses on the theme of motherhood, family love and children.
Part 3 is titled What if rainbows were your shadows and based on love.

🌿 What is most beautiful in this book is the use of metaphors. I really enjoy reading poems that use good and meaningful metaphors. A reader will enjoy connecting these metaphors to what author have meant to express.

🌿 The poetry focuses more on the realistic scenarios of life rather than some fantasy. While reading this you will feel relatable to lines expressed.

🌿 My most liked will be the second part that portrays a mother's pain in a childbirth and upbringing also how a family's outward appearance is our protection barrier.

🌿 Those who enjoy reading realistic poetry and love use of metaphors can surely try this book.

The title is very attractive and I loved the yellow cover of the book. It will look stunning as a paperback. This is a wonderful collection of poems. There are three parts in the book. The imageries of each poem is beautiful. A poem named Play of Light is so freaking beautiful:
" Twinkling, shining, Round and light. Hugging my body tight, Colors of rainbow, Tiny twirls of delight, Little bursts of joy, Is he a dream or just a simple play of light?"

The language is lucid and the book can be read by beginners too. It is very fluffy and has a feel good feel to it. There are a myriad of emotions in it. Each has a different uniqueness to it. The book is very short but I recommend to go through very slowly. The effort is pretty evident and I was so happy and satisfied after I completed the book.

☘️If you love nature, then this poetry book is going to be best for you.

☘️The book is a collection of about 48 pieces of poems as well as prose.

☘️The book has 3 parts:
1. The first part talks about motherly nature. The author did a great job in weaving blissful words into poetry. The way she described the wonders of nature with her pen is marvellous.
2. The second part has poems about motherhood and again the author did a great job here.
3. The third part talks about love and other things like heartbreak. The author contemplates everything in a pondering way.

☘️I enjoyed the book a lot. Amongst all the poems my favourite ones are, “A Very Brief Period of Time” and “A Girl I Know”.

☘️I could really connect with the book, and the author has painted an exquisite picture of all the themes of the book.

Good read for those who want to start reading poetry

What if Rainbows were your shadows? is a collection of poetry based on nature's beauty, the beauty and perks of motherhood, the bittersweet experience of love and much more.
The writing style of the poems is freestyle and contemporary.
I liked how the author has tried to bring out the complex emotions and intense sentiments through these poems.
I especially liked the poems under " A tribe of warriors". Those poems really tugged at my heart.
I also appreciate the fact that the author has elucidated the meaning of a few of the verses at the end of the book for a better understanding of the readers.
Overall, it was a good read for me.

MY TAKE🌼:
•
I zipped through this book with lightening speed. A good poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness and this book made me feel all of them, super rich content! It is a test [that] genuine poetry can communicate before it is understood, I could connect to the poems on a personal level and I think that's the quality of a good poetry book. The best part of this book is part 3, my favorite poem was "Paper Boat Taxies" It gave me flashbacks of the good times❤. Reading this book gave me immense satisfaction and when I was done reading this book my heart was full of joy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Poems are the reflection of the author's thoughts. When there are an avalanche of thoughts and emotions poetry takes birth. This book has small effective poems that take you through slices online and emotions.

The poems are divided in 3 sections. The division has titles and descriptions that gives an idea of what to expect.

I love the way such small paragraphs hold depth and capture situations that for most of us words fail to capture.

My favorites are All of Mine, Choices,Home to name a few. The best part is that in the end of the book the author has taken liberty and explained how and what created these beautiful gems.

I would rate them 4.4/5.
