"Action Selling: How to Sell Like a Professional, Even if You Think You Are One" is the first book in the Action Selling Book Series. Told in a unique story format, 'Action Selling' presents a proven system for managing and conducting the entire sales process - one that applies to any industry and dramatically improves the performance of salespeople with any level of experience. Best part: It does this in 105 pages.
Ugh. Action Selling communicates a great concept, but the story line just couldn't be more cheesy, could it? I've had to read this book for work several times now, and I catch something new each time. It's definitely worth the read if you're in sales (or in my case, a university admission office).
I'm not salesman, but I design for them, so I've been getting into sales literature, and this has to be my favorite so far in terms of practical techniques. My current work project, Swizzl, is built on the idea of supporting sales teams with the jobs to be done framework. The book Demand Side Sales 101, written by one of our founders, Bob Moesta, really captures the philosophy we're building with, but I'm excited to leverage the ideas of Action Selling to take some of practical implementations we're working on to the next level. I particularly love the focus on understanding needs, asking great questions and aligning every encounter around some kind of commitment.
Annoyed this wasn't recommended to me sooner. Takes all of the elements I've always thought important in a great sales process and organizes them into a coherent structure. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to get good at selling.
Hands down the best sales related material I have read. It provides an easy to use methodology for sales as a whole, with ways to apply it to any given situation. The fact that it's written as a conversation makes the book easier to pick up and fully understand.
Cheesy and simple to understand. Great selling tips. Work required reading but you can take a lot of the points into all areas of life when you are dealing with people.
Had to read for work great takeaways if it applies to your field of work. If your job don't require face to face selling then its not worth a read for you.
Not a great work of writing by any stretch of the imagination, but it gets its points across ... and they are great points. If you are selling something, read this.
