About the author

Lesley dreamed of being a writer, but studied law as her mother insisted she had "something to fall back on". Since joining Usborne Publishing, she has written and edited hundreds of books, from funny rhyming stories to an award-winning history book. Nowadays, she is often found recording books, too, in Usborne's very own recording studio.

দুর্দান্ত ইলাস্ট্রেশন। গল্পগুলোও খুব সুন্দরভাবে বলা। আমার মেয়ের খুবই পছন্দের বই। এত চমৎকার ভাবে ছবি দিয়ে গুছিয়ে বললে শতবার শোনা ঈশপের পুরনো খরগোশ আর কচ্ছপের গল্প, সোনার ডিম পাড়া হাঁসের গল্প, শিয়াল আর কাকের গল্প, শিয়াল আর সারসের গল্প কি দুর্দান্তই না লাগে পড়তে। সাথে গ্রিম ভাইদের বিখ্যাত গল্প মিউজিশিয়ানস অভ ব্রেমেন, বাচ্চাদের খুবই পছন্দের গল্প চিকেন লিকেন, তিনটা ছাগল আর ট্রলের গল্প, আফ্রিকার দুইটা উপকথা। সবমিলিয়ে একদম মনের মত একটা বই।

When my children were in pre-school and Reception, this book was a firm favourite. I think the way the book is presented makes kids feel like it’s a special book, a bit grown up (a red ribbon to book mark the pages) and really warm, safe, enticing pictures.
