With hundreds of unique entries for readers of all ages, Brother Paul's Mormon Bathroom Reader promises enjoyable entertainment for hours on end. Within its pages readers are sure to be inspired, educated, surprised and enlightened with such tempting tidbits What ever happened to the original cast of Johnny Lingo? The brethren said WHAT? Who are the notorious Mormons? What are the Mormon swear words? Plus, Mormon myth-busters, a modern Mormon murder mystery, and hundreds more.
This was our car read. My husband drove, I read. The nice thing about it was that we could just pick it up months after reading it and still enjoy it, because each story had nothing to do with the other. This book was so interesting to read!
As advertised on the cover, this is indeed entertainment "for hours on end". The trivia is extensive and mostly useless, but interesting and engrossing nonetheless. Save this book for quiet time in private: no one ever should see you reading. Apply your study time to more intense achievemeni.
As the title implies, this has been sitting as part of my bathroom library for a few years now! It is hilarious, inspiring, informative...and you can read one section at a 'sitting'! (No pun intended, really.) One to two page anecdotes that include totally random information of things you never knew! Did you know the oldest Mormon woman to skydive was 80 years old? Want to know about some renegade or famous Mormons and what they did? My favorite had to be the section on food storage! I laughed until I cried! I enjoyed it--and I think I'll leave it on the shelf to start over! :)
This book was a good mix of trivia, interesting stories, and fun facts about the Church and Mormon culture. Perfect for reading a couple of minutes at a time.
I'm a big fan of bathroom readers. This one was full of interesting LDS-related trivia, history, and stories. Occasionally sexist, but mostly just fun.
