This books consists of many photographs and some discussion of how medical emergencies have been handled during war times. The photos are a bit graphic, but you can really see how far medicine has come over the past centuries.
Part of the book , however, are impressive because you can really admire the inventiveness of regular people and doctors who did not have modern conveniences.
