This is an adorable romance full of horror references and nostalgia about two thirty-somethings who bond over their love of Halloween.

I normally stay very far away from pretty much any book that involves romance. But, I've loved everything I've read from Wendy Dalrymple so far, and I was in need of a little palate cleanser. I'm so happy I gave this a chance!

I smiled the whole time I was reading. Both main characters are extremely likeable, and I was genuinely rooting for them. The Halloween-y setting is perfect for spooky season, and it's full of fun little nods to horror movies.

I highly recommend this novella to everyone, even if you don't normally like romance. It was sweet and fun, and made me happy.

Low angst. Closed door. Small town Halloween romance that follows two people who didn’t run in the same circles during high school but always had a thing for each other and are getting their second shot now as 30-somethings while working as scary characters at a Haunted Hike.

This was really fun. If you’re a 30 something you’ll appreciate the pop culture references. It was a quick read, not even 120’ish pages.

I really just hung out under a blanket, read this, and ate candy corn. Honestly? One of my favorite afternoons in a while. Wendy Dalrymple is so good at writing characters and dialogue you just smile the whole time you’re reading one of her books; well, one of these romance books because her horror work is downright creepy. My Halloween Romance feels like the perfect blend of both of Wendy’s writing worlds; a sweet story with a ton of horror references. The feeling that Wendy really had a blast writing this one is present on every page too; I could almost feel the smile and air punch when she managed to find a way to fit all of these monster movie references into a romance book(pumpkinhead in a love story??? IT WORKS!) If you’re a fan of Wendy’s horror work and just want to devour everything she writes(that’s me by the way) this book would be the perfect transition from her creepy reads into her sweet and cute little romances. Going to use this last sentence to bother Wendy about writing a romance novel featuring the classic monsters. K thx.

This was the absolute perfect time to read this cozy romance.

After years of travelling from place to place, Tabby has decided to return to her hometown and restart her life. After all, she's in her thirties now and wants to accept responsibility. But when she applies for a job at Ty Treadwell's Haunted Hike, she reconnects with an old high school classmate and her life takes an unexpected turn...

This is a charming romantic tale packed with Halloween cheer, lovely characters, and horror movie references. Also, the romance between Tabby and Donnie is adorable and super sweet. In the best way possible, because I loved them together.

I had a blast reading this story! And I'm glad I read it this month too, because the Halloween vibes are strong with this one. 🎃

Donnie and Tabitha are adorable together and I will always be happy to have love interests that are in their 30s! This is the perfect little novella for the season and if you like your romance without any spice- this one is for you!

This book was so much fun--I had a smile on my face the entire time I was reading it! This kind of breezy romance novel can feel so easy and joyful to read, it's tempting to imagine it's just as easy to write--but it takes a special kind of skill to write something that reads so smoothly. Wendy Dalrymple definitely has that skill!

I loved both Tabby and Donnie, and I especially appreciated all the references to classic Halloween movies. Definitely a fun book to read around spooky season, or any time of year!

This was an adorable, spooky little Halloween romance novella. Sweet and full of pumpkin spice everything, this is a quick little read. Perfect for a sweet little palate cleanser in a season of spooky reads.

Tabby and Donnie knew of each other in high school, but never really got to know each other. Tabby is back in town, after traveling the country and spreading her wings. She is living with her mom, saving up to get a car, and thinking about taking some college classes. Working as a barista, she’s looking for another job. An ad pops up for actors needed at the Haunted Hike in town. Halloween is her favorite thing, and she is pumped. She walks in to apply and runs into none other than Donnie, the guy she had a massive crush on in high school. He’s running the Haunted Hike. Will the sparks that fly turn into a relationship or a nightmare?

I don't like romance books, but add Halloween and I'm in. This was so cozy, people my age in their thirties meeting again after high school and remembering they both had crushes on eachother and finding out that they are still very much into one another and that they have more in common than they knew was kind of nostalgic and sweet. Also, MC is named Tabitha, but her name is shortened as Tabby and that's the cutest nickname that could come out of that old timey name. She and Donnie were so cute together, geeking out about Halloween and the spooky movies and even their ending was sweet.
This is a cozy Halloween novella with warm romance and happy ending that you will enjoy even if you don't usually read romance books, because this one is extra special just because it's centered around Halloween, the coolest day in a whole year.
That cover is misleading though, Donnie wasn't scaredy like that, but it's still an adorable cover and Tabby looks awesome!

My Halloween Romance was really cute and fun! I enjoyed the main characters and their dynamic; the way their relationship develops feels natural and sweet. The book is about a pair of cast members on a haunted hike who develop feelings for each other thanks to their love for horror and Halloween. It's an adorable, heartwarming, and entertaining novella that made me smile the entire time I was reading it, and there are a lot of monster movie references, which I loved. I recommend it if you love Halloween and cute romance books!

This was a super sweet and great paced Halloween Novella. I normally can't stand novellas but this was pretty good! The story is about a millennial who doesn't really know what to do with her life and moves home to help out with her mom. She ends up getting a second job at a scare/theme park and reconnecting with the owner. They go on a couple dates and realize they both had feelings for each other and never explored them. As the haunt season goes on, their relationship evolves.

Stopppp I loved absolutely everything about this! Super cute and halloweeny and just overall adorable. Absolutely no smut whatsoever but I was completely fine with it. I love the whole they knew each other back then in high school and then reconnected years later and fell in love trope.
