I always hear people talk about "staging" and wondered what it was. This is a good beginner's guide, and will hopefully give some ideas to sellers to help them in this slowing market. It had some things I hadn't heard on HGTV before, and some were more detailed instructions on following through with ideas I've seen on TV. It gives you information on old and new tricks to staging, and lets you know which ones are out (like baking brownies right before a showing), and why.
Pretty much common sense. Do agree that vast majority have no idea how to visualize a home's potential unless it is "staged." Some ideas such as replacing aluminum wiring is ridiculous. If a home has never had problems, why go to the expense? All the wiring from the street to our homes is aluminum wiring! Should we have the city replace that too?
I had already known the stuff in here because you can generally find it on the internet pretty easily...but if you're someone who doesn't use the internet frequently, this may be of great use since all the information is contained in one spot.
Should I ever have to sell my home I will purchase a copy of this book to help stage it so I can get a better offer on it. It was very helpful in making your home appeal to the largest amount of buyers.
