León Rozitchner (Chivilcoy, provincia de Buenos Aires, 1924 - Ciudad de Buenos Aires, 4 de septiembre de 2011) fue un filósofo y psicoanalista, profesor de la Universidad de Buenos Aires, docente de la Facultad Libre de Rosario y conocido intelectual argentino. León Rozitchner era conocido en Argentina como comprometido con el contexto social y cultural, fundamentalmente el filosófico, y también el psicoanalítico. Era padre del también filósofo Alejandro Rozitchner.

Estudió Humanidades en La Sorbona de París, Francia, donde se graduó en 1952, luego de tomar clases con maestros como Maurice Merleau Ponty y Claude Lévi-Strauss. Al regresar a la argentina participó de la revista Contorno junto a David Viñas, Ismael Viñas, Oscar Masotta y Noé Jitrik entre otros.

Profesor de la Universidad de Buenos Aires, entre sus numerosas obras sobresalen Freud y los límites del individualismo burgués (1972), Las Malvinas: de la guerra sucia a la guerra limpia (1985), Perón, entre la sangre y el tiempo (1985) y La cosa y la cruz: cristianismo (en torno a las Confesiones de San Agustín) (1997).

This is a pretty standard attempt at Freudo-Marxist synthesis, thinking subjectivity alongside objectivity, the individual alongside the group, through a reading of Civilization and Its Discontents and Group Psychology and the Analysis of the Ego, which as yet don't add much to the discussion.
