I started this book thinking every book about him is the same, they are but this one was just enough about his company and the results. It is an experience reading about Bill Gates. He doesn't seem that he could be real. This book also has Bill Gates quotes at the beginning of each chapter, that show his diverse abilities and personality. What a Man.

Great book which shows how Bill Gates went on to become the person that he is today and discusses in detail about the growth and success of Microsoft and what all it had to face to become the tech giant that it is now. Talks about the various people involved in building the company and what future does the technology holds.

William Henry “Bill” Gates III is a self-motivated, self-centered, cautious, sneaky, venomous cobra living in a jungle that has nothing but cold-blooded reptiles running around “trying” to bring down the king. Some have come real close in putting up a battle with him but no one can really compete with the king of the jungle.

What a rude, but bold opening statement most would say but these are my thoughts about Gates after reading Bill Gates: The Path To The Future by Jonathan Gatlin, a non-fiction publication that talks about the road to success for this entrepreneur. The current richest man in the world came from a wealthy family from little Seattle, Washington to being proclaimed America’s greatest entrepreneur, and known worldwide for his $79.3 billion dollar net worth.

I have read many biographies, (which is my favorite genre), dealing with one of the worlds best soccer player of all time, to learning about the biggest drug lord the world has ever seen, but never have I read about, probably one of the most successful human being to ever live, and how he came to be? But this one wasn’t the ordinary biography. This exquisite detailed non-fiction novel, “ Bill brings to the company the idea that conflict can be a good thing. The difference from P&G (Procter & Gamble) is striking. Politeness was a premium there. Bill knows it’s important to avoid that gentle civility that keeps you from getting to the heart of an issue quickly. He likes it when anyone, even a junior employee, challenges him, and you know he respects you when he starts shouting back.” (Chapter 4, page 66) … “Why do I work hard rather than retire? The answer is simple: I do what I find interesting and challenging, and I think I have the best job in the world.” (Chapter 7, page 164), was well written in order for me to answer my question on how he became so successful on his own. Not only does Jonathan Gatlin give the important essential information on Bill Gates for all the statistic lovers but also he brings the reader inside Bill Gates mind. He made it seem as if I was there thinking for Gates and making his decisions, “Develop it for Steve Jobs? I’ll piss on it.” (Chapter 6, page 144). His selfish mindset is what brought him up to where he stands now. He only thinks about himself and no one else, that’s something people don’t mention of when they speak about Bill Gates. The best way to understand a book is to be able to relate or connect to it as much as you can and that’s what I saw here, I was able to outline and get an inside view on how the mind of Bill Gates works, and what the every day life for him is.

But aside from the topic of the novel, the quality of the book, how long it was, all the misconceptions, in the end I truly feel as if Gatlin wrote this biography to both inform interested readers, and most importantly teach amateur entrepreneurs in the making, all levels of people who aspire to be like something like William Henry “Bill” Gates III, on how to become the best entrepreneur one can be. Just learn from the best.

If your a Technology geek like myself ,Bill Gates: The Path to The Future is the book for you! This book goes through the years of Microsoft Corporation all the way back to the dorm room Bill Gates lived in at Harvard University in the 70's. I highly recommend this to people who aren't that interested in reading as well, because of how short and informative this book was. Finished entire book!
