This is the first book of the Storm Brothers series. It is a story about teenage friends who let each other go so they could go live their dreams. They never thought they would see each other again.
Now Winter is back in town and it is like the years melted away, but they both have some things keeping them guarded. This is Hunter and Winter's story.
Hunter and his three brothers are all professional hockey players. They are living out the dream created for them by their late father. He tragically passed with no resolution to his murder and Hunter and his brothers have lived with this their entire adult lives. He is afraid to love, fall in love, be in a relationship or even be alone in his house. Now that his older brother moved out, he is looking for someone to stay at his house to watch after his cat while he is on the road.
Winter has made it to Broadway. She is still chasing her dream role, but an incident she can't get past is ruining all of her chances at her big break. Now she is back home hoping to heal and be able to get back to her life and pursuing the dream she has always wanted. But now that she is home, has her dream changed?
These two people are absolutely meant for each other. They have a passion that can't be contained and a respect and love for each other that they know is forever. They just can't admit it due to their fears. We get to enjoy their journey and explore their relationship as adults. They are caring and compassionate with each other. They are so steamy together. The story is great, the secondary characters are just enough and there is a little angst and lots of love sprinkled in to round out this well told story. This is a standalone story, with no cliffhanger and a HEA. I really enjoyed this. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
