I read this back in 5th Grade, and so I don't remember much about this book-
But I remember that I found it pretty good.
There are two stories in this book. The first story is about this drug transport case and the second is a murder mystery on a remote Scottish island.

I somehow did not find the mystery in it. It was pretty plain and lame
When I was reading the book I was confused about what is going on in the story
and the characters were just plain and normal. When I understand something In the book it is just them talking about something not related to the mystery.

it is one of the most boring books I read.

Nick's alright but Tim is so excruciatingly, painfully, facepalmingly stupid I wonder how he hasn't flushed himself down the toilet yet. I'll put a one star if I can, but I don't want it to pop up in my Year in books. Hence, the very graceful 2 stars. I'm so glad this is in the clearance section of WHSmith and only costs me 10p.

Hilarious yet painful as I am the older of the two sons in my family. There are several clues scattered around to solve the mystery before the final reveal...so it’s an exciting series and worth the read.

Not really my cup of tea, other people might enjoy it but I, myself don't have an interest for it.

The second story was much more interesting, the first has me disengaged. Since it was 2 in 1 however, I shall keep it as 4 stars.

I decided to read it this weekend whilst on holiday and have to say...very impressive! I don't know much about Horowitz other than the Alex Rider books and the fact that he actually gets people reading. I can see why now! I loved the two stories and the silly humour and misunderstandings. I love the puns and the fact he's not afraid to kill loads of people in gruesome ways despite being for kids. I love the two main characters and can imagine the other cases being just as fun. Short, fast paced and funny -highly recommended!

After plenty of 1 star books I've been forced to read, it's great to be back in the big hitters again! Looking to track down the whole set now!

A formulaic children's book, which is almost certainly what you want in a children's book. I am far from the target audience, but I still enjoyed reading the adventures of the Diamond brothers. In particular, the parallels with And Then There Were None in the second book made it worthwhile reading. Not one I'd recommend to anyone over 10 years old though

I've never read any books by Anthony Horowitz but I now regret it. I loved the writing style and both of the stories kept me engaged and managed to surprise me. Even though its only a world book day special it's definitely the best I have read so far. Will read more books by Horowitz in the future.

Funny and enjoyable twists on adult tales, told with a light-hearted voice that is endearing to both adults and children alike. Wonderful books that should be treasured

My son enjoyed this. I solved the 'mystery' by about the second page of each story.
