I really liked this version of Spawn a lot. It’s an adapted novelization of the movie, however, the plot is expanded, and several added scenes and backstories flesh out what the movie severely lacked. We get to see more of the characters’ personal lives, and how their relationships are intertwined in the bigger picture. I wish this was the story that we had gotten in the film, as the character arcs are really good. The ending is particularly great because Al Simmons and his widow, Wanda, finally get the closure they both were cheated out of when Al died. Spawn finally realizes that Al Simmons is dead, and understands that he must now be humanity’s hero

I am a big fan of Spawn. This book goes into detail about how Spawn came to be, but waists no time portraying his character. When it came to describing the way Hell, and Clown looked the imargry was suppurb. After reading this book, I watched the movie again. That made me give this book a rating of five from four, because the movie, leaves out way too much. They actually started the movie from page 27 in the book. Not only that, but they completly altered the ending! I recomend you read this book if you are a die-hard fan of Spawn.
