He's done playing the dating game--this small town won't let him quit.
After spending six years in Thailand while working for a service organization and chasing after the only woman he's ever loved, Travis Matkin is done playing games. Desperate for a new start and a chance to settle down, he moves to California to manage a small-town hardware store. The people of Starlight Ridge are all too happy to have a new face and promptly set their sights on pairing Travis up with one of their many eligible bachelorettes—through a charity auction.
Eliza Meyer has always been competitive, and her beach volleyball team's five-year winning streak is proof. But she doesn't train hard to win—she trains hard to live. Determined to outwit the disease that has cursed her family for generations, she's doing everything she can to stay ahead of the game. Her competitive streak doesn't end at athletics, however, so when Starlight Ridge starts up their first community charity auction, she knows she needs to win. Eliza only wishes she would have realized what she was bidding on.

This was a good read. Travis is looking for something new. He ends up working at the hardware store. He meets Eliza and they have a rough start. However, after some complications they are able to get their happy ending.
This book is a 5th in the series but can be read as a standalone. This is Travis and Eliza's story.
Overall, this is a pleasant read with good characters that you can't help but root for. The main characters find love when they are not looking for it. Travis moved to Starlight Ridge to start over, and Eliza has been there all her life but struggles with living due to the loss she suffered early on in life.
The ending was good, but the epilogue just sets up the next book. Overall, a nice, clean ⭐⭐⭐read for me.

Good read . Story line of Eliza and Travis full of fears and love. Heart breaking story that can be turned around with love. Tear jerker. A page turner too.
Travis has loved his Thailand coworker unrequitedly for years. Davis arrives and she falls for him. Davis needs him to take over his hardware story in small-town Starlight Ridge. It’s not long before the town tries to match him up with an eligible bachelorette through a charity auction. They fall in love but her health issues cause her to end it. She’ll have to get over her past to have a future with him and the town. Sweet story. Clean. Simple.
This is book five in The Starlight Ridge series and it is Travis and Eliza's story. When Travis realised that he had spent years loving the wrong woman he decided to walk away and ends up moving to Starlight Ridge for a new start not knowing that it will completely change his life. Eliza has always worked to be the best that she can and losing is never a option but it is only a front for what is going on with her life and health so when there is a charity auction she sets out to win that as well unfortunately she ended up with something that she didn't expect but will it be good or bad for her health only time will tell. I loved this book so much and I couldn't put it down as I had to keep turning the pages to see what the outcome would be for Travis and Eliza and the ending was just what I was hoping for. I have really enjoyed reading the book's in this series as they are so well written and have a great storyline and I look forward to reading more in the future.
Travis seems unmoored, without purpose, and insecure. He thought he had the life he wanted looking towards a future with someone but she didn’t return his feels and falls for another. I like Starlight Ridge, where it feels like you are on vacation even when you are working, and the small community comes together to support each other. It’s a good place for him to figure out his next steps. Matchmaker Jessie is a riot. I have a friend who had to go on cholesterol medication young because of genetics, but despite that her family is known for living long lives. At least Eliza is focused on exercising and eating relatively healthy even if it seems she keeps running from something she feels is inevitable out of fear instead of enjoying the here and now. Cholesterol numbers can fluctuate which can stress me out too when I get bloodwork, but Eliza needs to remember it doesn't tell the whole picture of her health.
I had some trouble with the characters in the beginning. Travis is at loose ends, having finally given up on Chloe. He grew into his new role in Starlight Ridge, and grew on me. Eliza, living in fear of her health issues... I never warmed up to her. And yet, I still loved this book. The small town atmosphere, filled with caring residents, wears Travis and Eliza down, and I loved seeing them set aside their baggage and misunderstandings in favor of friendship and more. All of our other local friends are present, especially Jessie, resident busybody and matchmaker. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Travis and Eliza should be such an unlikely matchup except they aren't! They are perfect for each other if they can only get past their mental baggage and realize it. This story had me alternately wanting to shake first one then the other as they kept sabotaging their own feelings.
I liked the sneaky way Jessie got them together and I also liked the tie-in to the series prequel, Arrested by Love, which is the story of Eliza's parents. I received an advance copy but my review is honest and voluntary.
Winning His Love is a sweet, heartwarming, small town romance. I love Starlight Ridge. This caring community never met a stranger, plus they have Jessie for a matchmaker! Insecure Travis arrives from Thailand to manage the hardware store. Eliza is super competitive and trying to outrun a disease. If they stand still they just might find a spark. Join Jessie as she tries to match these two, This well written book is their tale.
I thought this was just another enemy to lover book. When Eliza tells Travis about her disease, my opinion of the book changed greatly. This is a good book about overcoming the challenge of beating a serious disease and then having a family, children, and a normal life in spite of the disease. It is so very well written & kept my attention to the very end. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Great story Both characters had issues they were dealing with—and not very well.
He's so insecure and she's surviving on fear. On the surface it seems to work for them... until it doesn't. This town and the people in it push them out of their comfort zone. That leads to their HEA, together.
Visitors to Starlight Ridge are looking forward to sun, sand and good food but if you are there for longer then a visit you can expect a lot more. Travis didn't quite understand why everyone kept pushing Eliza at him, he was getting over a broken heart not looking for love. I think the residents of Starlight Ridge are amazing, kind, thoughtful, generous and very serious matchmakers.
