Reg Rawlins is a psychic and also part-siren, but still has human emotions, meaning she's upset when her rental cottage's front door is egged and inscribed with anti-siren protection symbols.
Later Reg goes to dinner with powerful witch Corvid. What does she fear he'll do?

Extremely well written, the characters well-developed building over the first eleven books in the series and now you're so heavily invested in them. I’m a character reader, I get into the characters. Who and what they are. Why they do the things they do. The things that make a reader get invested in the characters and thereby the book. “I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." I received a review copy from the author at my request and this is my honest opinion. I have been with this series from the very beginning and I have loved every minute of it. It just keeps getting better and better. There have been one or two books that have not been high on my list, but this isn't one of them. The characters in this series are strong and dependable (at least, the good guys), the action is not your run-of-the-mill stuff, and best of all, there's Starlight. I always look forward to the newest book in this series and put everything else on hold until I finish it. I highly recommend these books.

As the townspeople learn about Reg’s heritage, they begin to shun her. As if that weren’t bad enough, she’s losing her memory, has an unusual houseguest and finds a dead body. Even without clients, she has a full schedule. Ms. Workman’s books are so well written that they draw you in and don’t let go until all is revealed in the end. The well-developed characters feel like old friends. I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next one. I received this book free and chose to make a voluntary, unbiased review.

This is a brilliant read.
Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable.
Great suspense and action with wonderful world building.
Can't wait to read what the author brings out next.

Someone is very unhappy with the hero of this story! The whole town is ostrisizing her for being something they aren't happy about! That's not right but it won't stop her from finding out the truth!

Poor Reg!

Ever have one of those days you just can’t win? Well, Reg Rawlins is having more than her fair share of them in this spirited adventure. She has only recently learned of her siren lineage and, unfortunately for her, the matter wasn’t kept confidential. It turns out that the paranormal community isn’t very welcoming to sirens. Reg experiences some unpleasant consequences of this prejudice all while trying to figure out what is causing her new onset memory lapses and while trying to help a reclusive friend and his fiancée navigate the cultural expectations of a proper courtship and matrimony within the Big Foot community. Add to the mix an old foe with a score to settle and Reg can’t get a moment’s rest.
