THE CATTLE KING Renowned magnate Forrest Cunningham never had time for love, until fellow bachelor members of the Cattleman's Club started getting hitched. In search of his own bride, Forrest thought of loyal childhood friend Becky Sullivan. Only, she wasn't a child anymore, but a drop-dead gorgeous woman whose emerald gaze pierced his very soul. Forrest sensed she felt the magic, too. Yet Becky was hinting at a mysterious "fiancé." Was she trying to make him jealous? Well, Forrest was about to make darn sure that no one married this fiery beauty but him! Five wealthy Texas bachelorsall members of the state's most exclusive clubset out on a mission to rescue a princess…and find true love.
The girl next door finally gets the boy next door to see her as a girl--with predictable results. A phony fiancee and some well-crafted supporting characters make this a comedy of errors that helped me through a nasty bout of flu.
I like the heroine definitely but waiting for the hero to fall in love with her didn't set well for me. She could have done better but at least she didn't say yes to the marriage because she deserved love. I am adding one star for that.
well men are stupid, we can see this in this very good book, forest (AKA woody) doesnt know up from down in love he doesnt see she loves him untill the very end as usual.
