Writing the Divine: How to Use Channeling for Soul Growth & Healing was a pleasant surprise for me. I actually came across it after seeing a psychic medium doing automatic writing (a form of channeling) on Kindred Spirits and deciding I wanted to learn more about it... I didn't expect for that little 'search'in the kindle store to lead me to something so spiritually uplifting, but here we are.

Sara Wiseman uses channeled writing to receive messages from her spirit guides, which she believes are angelic (divine) beings. This book is the product of messages she received from the divine, including 33 lessons they wanted to communicate with the rest of the world, through her writing. Whether or not you believe in this type of phenomena, I guarantee that you will walk away from this book feeling enlightened with a profound sense of peace. 💜

When I first got this book I 'd purchased it for my wife. I leafed through it with interest but not expecting much. After she read it, she thanked me and suggested I might enjoy reading it. So I started at the beginning... I won't say this book changed my life but it kind of did. It opened my eyes and gave me new insight or rather a tool or tools to help me help myself with insight. It helped change the negative to positive in my thought process and learn to learn a little more about who I am. it's a book that makes you think and can be as much of an interactive tool as you allow it to be! 5 stars for being an easy read, helpful, having great interactive lessons and for content that is well researched and written and most of all for providing content that touched me on many levels.

I bought this book several years ago while I was waiting for a reading from Sarah. It was mostly forgotten about until it made it's presence known during a time of recovery for me.

Sarah provides practical instruction on channeling messages from the Divine through writing. The second half of the book includes 33 Lessons she received as a scribe from spirit guides and angels. The lessons include writing prompts that encourage deep reflection. I used these lessons during morning quiet times and found them to be inspirational. They helped me notice meaningful synchronicities in my life which encouraged a feeling of purpose and support. If you enjoy writing as meditation and resonate with the belief that angels and spirit guides take an interest in our lives, you will probably like this book.

While I enjoyed this book, I think it is a book that you need to be ready for and I don't think I was. I have not been able to get up the nerve to try any of the exercises, but maybe at some point I will be ready.

It’s interesting how modern technology has actually brought forth even the spiritual arts. Years ago, the only way to communicate with the divine was through prayer and a handful of neophyte channeling methods. Due to these limitations, only a few talented people could channel, which required spirits to actually enter the person’s body. Other interested individuals had to suffice with séances and automatic writing both which made the process seem more like parlor games.

For anyone who has tried automatic writing, they know that translating what you’ve written afterwards is quite difficult. Often, the words are a jumble which make long communications difficult. With the advent of the computer (and more specifically the laptop), channeling is being brought to the average person. In this way, the laptop is used to record sessions with the result being easy to review.

Writing the Divine is separated into two parts. In the first half of the book, the author brings us up to speed with channeling. We learn what channeling is and what it isn’t. We also come to understand that this is a valid method to connecting to the divine. Continue to pray, continue to go to church, do whatever is your way but do this too. The author even gradually prepares the reader for channeling by doing a short exercise, answering questions, then continuing on with the work at hand. The second part of the book is actual channeled material that will deepen the readers understanding of him or herself and their spiritual path.

Writing the Divine is an excellent resource. The author does a wonderful job of explaining both the background and the how tos of channeling. Furthermore, she reinforces that channeling is usually for personal use and connection with the Divine.

I enjoyed this as an easy read. Sara does a good job of demystifying channeling and teaches how to make the connection to the divine through writing a part of our daily lives. I enjoyed her personal story as well. A quick, easy read. Enjoyable.

I'm looking for specific information about how to improve my writing. I scanned the book and read a few chapters and picked up a few nuggets; however, wasn't interested in reading it entirely.
