Our Triune God

Rate this book
Who is the God of the Bible? From both within the church and outside her walls the orthodox doctrine of the Holy Trinity, declared in Scripture and passed down in ecumenical creeds and local confessions of faith, is under attack. The emerging absence of a Trinitarian mind-set so prevalent in the church today has enormous implications for the future of the Christian faith. Concerned to counter contemporary attacks on the doctrine of God, Peter Toon here demonstrates the
existence and priority of a Trinitarian pattern in Scripture and defends the essential role of the Trinity in Christian belief, faith, and practice.

One of the most accessible yet thoroughly satisfying treatments of the Trinity I have read. Highly enjoyable and I would recommend it without reservation. Toon is an excellent communicator and staggeringly orthodox. Very Good Stuff... in my mind, up their with Torrance, Kelly etc in the West... even though, again, this book is written for the man in the pew. Go, buy a copy, get multiples... to share, save for later and share with your kids when they are older, to give as gifts to your pastor or elders in your church...

Very good. Dr. Toon does a very good job explaining the Trinity. Not an easy topic, he covers it well and systematically but also in a very readable fashion.
