Fun, photographic nonfiction at its best from the authors of the successful Scholastic Question and Answer series.
Scholastic True or False is a science series in a fun question-and-answer format aimed at 2nd and 3rd graders. Each book contains 22 true or false questions with a full-color photograph on every page. Kids will read the question on the right and turn the page to see the answer on the left. Every answer also includes a bonus fact.
Storms is exactly what it appears to be...a book about storms. It contains information on blizzards, hurricanes, hailstorms, monsoons, and much, much more. But what made this book stand out to me was the layout. The book is designed in a question-answer format with 22 different true-false questions. Questions are asked, one at a time, with the corresponding answer on the next page. As children have to turn the page to read the answer, they are allowed to predict and/or guess first on each one.
This book works well as a read-alone for grades 1st through 5th. It would make a wonderful introduction for a Science lesson on weather and/or storms and could be followed with a simple weather project like a tornado in a bottle.

A very educational book with good Q & A. I hate to admit that I learned a few things from this book! Link told me he'd like to be a real scientist, so I hope he likes this book!
