Introducing the next book in our popular groovicorns range! In this story, the groovicorns visit Moanhattan city to try and cheer up the gray city gloomicorns, but the gloomicorns never look up from their phones!Adults and children alike will enjoy this story, with a great message about interacting with the world, not our screens! The book also features amazing two-way sequins on the cover.
Have not yet found a good unicorn book. Adults seem to think the only way to write about unicorns is with irony.
At first this book seemed like it would teach children the evils of socal media addiction, but it turns out to be YouTube influencer propaganda.
5yo picked this out on her own at her first Scholastic book fair. She cannot read, but she got a lesson in how to recognize a dollar sign before I sent her off.
Although it ends in a way to perhaps promote “YouTube” it is an actual lesson in how being glued to our phones may make us more gloomy . The use of metaphor is perfectly done . It’s a good lesson for kids & adults . The illustrations are bright , bold . Perfect to grab small kids attention. Overall a fun read I enjoyed .
This book did not make a good impression on me. The illustrations are overwhelming with too much going on. The colors are bright and bold, words are all over the place and unicorns are just taking over the world. Kids may enjoy it if they are into unicorns. The reading level is Grades 1-2.
