THE WILD, WILD WEST... The death of Hollis's father brought her back to Texas, and his will kept her there. Someone, however, was trying to drive her off Gauntlet Run, the ranch where she had grown up, and where she now planned to spend her future.
One look into the ice-blue eyes of Cutter McKenzie told her that he might be ruthless enough to do it, but all the signs pointed away from him. Hollis had to admit she was glad. Whatever the danger that had to be confronted, she wanted to face it with this enigmatic stranger by her side--maybe forever.
The book is a fairly enjoyable read, if you don't think too much about it.
A few notes: The characters apparently not worried about STD or pregnancy They easily forgive someone who slaughtered cattle mercilessly, poisoned a horse, and almost successfully murdered them How the two characters get together at the end makes no sense, with Cutter being so smug about his "trump card"
