How to Invest in Stocks, A Beginner´s Guide to Making Money in the Stock Market and Managing Risk is a brief and easy to read book for the new investor. All chapters are well argued for and are relevant for beginners even though they get a bit repetitive. However, one can argue repetitiveness in the world of finance can be the way to success as readers try to grasp all subjects and improve knowledge of the markets.
In comparison to other finance books, this one missed a few things. For instance, this book is published in 2021 and it does not mention tools such as Twitter and podcasts, which are trending at the moment. I would also have liked to see more graphs and charts to illustrate ideas that might be hard to grasp.
Another issue that I experienced with the book and might set the new investor on the wrong course is the big focus given to a company´s stock price. In my view, the stock price is a secondary effect of what you should be focused on. In fundamental analysis it is not a great stock performance that generates a good business, it is a great business that generates a good stock price.
Overall, the book provides a lot of good tips and recommendations on how to start investing.

#HowtoInvestinStocks is exactly as advertised: a beginner’s guide on how to invest in stocks. The guide prefaces that it is meant to be used as an educational tool for learning the basics and not as an in-depth study of investing. It is divided into nine chapters, starting with a discussion of investing in the stock market and concluding with a chapter on getting ready to invest.
I cannot stress enough that this guide provides an extremely basic overview of the stock market. In other words, if you know virtually anything about the stock market (e.g., definitions, market theory, analyzing risks, etc.), then you may want to check out some of the resources that the author recommends instead. This is for readers who know absolutely nothing about stocks or investing.
Also, though the guide is written in clear and precise language, the information is very cut and dry. It is essentially akin to reading a textbook or dictionary definition. Thus, if you are someone who learns by way of fun examples, this guide is not for you. On the other hand, if you need something to skim during your morning commute and are looking for a simple overview of how the stock market works, then this is your guide.

The book is great for beginners as it says. The information is explained in an easy to read and comprehend way and I found the information very useful. I liked the book and how easy the concepts of investment are explained. There is info about types of investors and investments, risk management, portfolio building and everything one needs to know to start off.
