Jennifer Power Scott grew up in Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland, and received her Master of Journalism degree from Ottawa's Carleton University. She started working in journalism as a reporter and associate producer with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, and has since launched a freelance career, writing, producing, and directing TV documentaries. She has worked on innovative series for the Discovery Channel Canada and Travel + Escape, and is a frequent contributor to magazines such as Canadian Living. Jennifer lives in Saint John, New Brunswick.

I really enjoyed this book. I'm eighteen and on the brink of going to college and beginning my career. Reading this book was a really interesting and informative way to gather information about jobs in sustainability and the growing green market.

Scott does an excellent job of covering a variety of potential "green" careers -- from eco-friendly fashion design to urban planning to organic farming (my personal favorite story)! Reading through the profiles of these amazing young adults was so inspiring for me. These are people who change the world -- and the idea behind this book is that you can, too.

Without a shadow of a doubt, I would recommend this book to any young adult who is looking to find a career that also positively changes the world, and has a passion for activism. Great read!

I really enjoyed reading this book. I came across it at my school's library, my favorite place on campus, and picked it up partly because I wanted read a business related book. Initially, I did not expect much. I was like, "Green Careers? You cannot make money out of that kind of shebang, right?" This notion couldn't be further from truth (At least from what the book said...). It turns out that Green Careers, the environment-related sector is rapidly growing and recession resistant. Anyways, the author does a great job making the book easy to read, even for an international student like me, and her humor put a smile on my face countless times while I was reading.
