Not what I was expecting. Lots of historical insights but I'm better using it as a reference rather than a front to back read.

It contains a lot of interesting information, which is why I stuck with it and read the entire thing, but it has too many notes discrediting facts presented in the Bible. Christians who believe in a young earth will be disappointed in this Bible. Anytime there is a difference between what the Bible says and what the world says, expect the notes in this Bible to most likely go with what the world says.

The Bible is unchanged NKJV. There is additional notations that add context to the scripture of that page or chapter which help us understand ancient cultures, languages and societies.
