A concise overview of the man, the political situations between and among the combatants, the state of the art of warfare at the time, and battles. If that sounds like a bit much to squeeze into 164 pages (admittedly 8 1/2 x 11 in size), it is. A good overview, but have other volumes on the subject matter or your iPad within reach when reading this unless you are familiar with the period.
