In this book the Dalai Lama guides us step-by-step to an understanding of our human condition and how we can act to achieve a higher fulfillment than pure worldly enjoyment.
A decent primer on Tibetan Buddhism, and Buddhism in general, with emphasis on how it can apply to one's life. It is aimed at a Western audience, with brief chapters on Buddhism's intersection with science and Christianity. Most of it is simple and clear, but the metaphysical parts still don't make sense to me.
Overall it was a quick read, alot of information i have read in previous books, this would also be a quick intro to tibetan buddhism and HH if it was the first book you got a hold in your studies... i enjoyed it even as a refresher.
