Reference- Bibliographic

Content/Scope- Lists 1,100 books with broad teen readership. 250 pages long. Spans categories like teen issues, family situations, pop culture, and literary genres. Extensive cross-referencing. Classics, standards and newer books are listed.

Accuracy/Authority/Bias- Young Adult Library Services Association are experts in book selection, and have years of lists and awards to draw from.

Arrangement/Presentation- Part 1 lists books by reader, followed by format, then theme and setting. Only 25 books per list, so the lists aren't overwhelming.

Accessibility/Diversity- Short easy to read lists that any reader could use, particularly the cd rom, which can be searched. Includes categories on gender specific literature as well as categories like Urban Teens- beyond Street Lit. Has a section on teen immigrants.

Relation to other works- Good addition to other reader lists in the library, particularly with CD inclusion.

Timeliness and Permanence –Comes with CD Rom. A good percentage of the books on the list are classic enough not to be dated soon.
