Collie Bruce is a show dog at first but then it is taken away by a captain and is put into commission as a courier dog in WWI. Eligible courier dog is less than 1/30 in all service dogs. During fierce battles, an army groups telephone line is damaged by explosion, losing contact with headquarters, when Bruce breaks through the enemys gunfire and delivers rescue message, having the reinforcements come in time. And later on, Bruce makes contribution again when he finds German spy in disguise. One time, in a night patrol, the accompanying soldier is killed by Boche. He then pursues Boche following smell, but surprisingly there are many Boches come before him......
