বইটি ভারতের ইন্টেলিজেন্স অফিসারদের নিয়ে, তাদের কাজকর্ম, তাদের আত্মত্যাগ নিয়ে লেখা। তা ছাড়াও গত চার পাঁচ বছরে ভারতে যে ঘটনা ঘটে গেছে অথবা দেশের যে সামাজিক বা রাজনৈতিক অবস্থা দেখা গেছে, সেইসবকে বিষয়বস্তু হিসেবে নিয়ে তৈরি হয়েছে এই কাহিনী। বইটি পড়তে পড়তে বিভিন্ন জায়গায় আপনি বেশ কিছু সত্য ঘটনার ছায়া দেখতে পাবেন। সরাসরি না বলা হলেও আপনি বুঝতে পারবেন লেখক কোন ঘটনার কথা বলছেন।
অবশ্যই কাহিনীর অনেকখানি জায়গা জুড়ে আছে কাশ্মীর ইস্যু। তার সাথে দেশপ্রেম, বিদ্রোহ, সেক্যুলারিজম সহ বিভিন্ন বিষয় নিয়ে কথা বলা হয়েছে, প্রশ্ন করা হয়েছে, এবং সেইসব কথোপকথন পাঠককে ভাবিয়েছে, মনকে নাড়া দিয়েছে।
এখানে ব্যাপারগুলোকে যেভাবে দেখানো হয়েছে বা যা প্রশ্ন তোলা হয়েছে তার স্বপক্ষে বা বিপক্ষে আমার মতামত দিতে চাই না, আর এও জানিনা যে গল্পে বর্ণিত সব ঘটনাবলীই বাস্তবে ঘটা সম্ভব কিনা, তবে একটি গল্প হিসেবে এই বই পড়তে আমার অসাধারণ লেগেছে।
এক নাগাড়ে বেশ কয়েকটি ঐতিহাসিক উপন্যাস পড়ার পর স্বাদ বদলের প্রয়োজন অনুভব করছিলাম। তাই বেছে নিয়েছিলাম ছোট সাইজের বই 'ব্লু ফ্লাওয়ার'। আমি এর আগে এই বইয়ের নাম শুনিনি, লেখকের অন্য বই আগে পড়িনি। কিন্তু এটা একেবারে ফাটাফাটি লাগলো। ব্লু ফ্লাওয়ার ১ পড়ার পরেই বুঝলাম যে বাকি দুটি পার্ট না পড়লে শান্তি হবে না। তাই একসাথে তিনটি পার্ট শেষ করলাম। একটি অবশ্যপাঠ্য বই।

'স্লিপার সেল' নামক শব্দটার সঙ্গে আমরা অনেকেই পরিচিত; তবে সেই পরিচিতির উৎস মূলত মিডিয়া। এবার যদি আপনি জানতে পারেন যে এমন একটি জিনিস লুকিয়ে আছে আপনার খুব চেনা কোনো মুখের আড়ালে? হয়তো সে আপনার প্রতিবেশী, বা ভাড়াটে, বা আত্নীয়! তখন?
এই রুদ্ধশ্বাস থ্রিলারটি গড়ে উঠেছে উপরোক্ত প্রশ্নকে কেন্দ্রে রেখেই। কাউন্টার ইনটেলিজেন্স, সন্ত্রাসবাদ, দুর্নীতি— এইসব বৃহৎ ও প্রাণঘাতী ব্যাপারস্যাপার থাকলেও, কাহিনির গতি মুহূর্তের জন্য শ্লথ না হলেও, 'ব্লু ফ্লাওয়ার'-এর হৃৎপিণ্ড হল ওই 'তখন?'

Blueflower এর মতো এরকম বড় পরিব্যাপ্তির কিছু, তাও এরকম স্পর্শকাতর, বার্নিং ইস্যু নিয়ে এর আগে পড়েছি বলে আমার মনে পড়ছে না।এত বড়ো,detailed লেখার পুরোটাই সমান ইন্টারেস্টিং ছিল। দেশপ্রেমের থেকে যে বড়ো আর কোনো ধর্ম নেই, লেখক তা আরেকবার আমাদের মনে করিয়ে দেন এই লেখার মাধ্যমে।

একজন বাংলাদেশী হিসেবে এই বই আমার যথেষ্ঠ্য রকমের আপত্তিকর মনে হয়েছে। আমার দেশকে কিছু কিছু জায়গায় ছোট করা হয়েছে বলে আমার মনে হয়েছে। ২য় খন্ড পড়লে আরো বুঝতে পারবো।

Biren notices a suspicious boy struggling with multiple ATM cards. Sensing foul play, he confronts and catches the boy, who drops a wallet before fleeing. Inside, Biren finds many cards. Surprisingly, he can withdraw money using his own ATM card PIN and takes out ₹20,000 using one of them, shocked by the huge bank balances. Feeling uneasy, he considers returning the wallet. Despite tension and guilt, he boards a crowded train to visit the address on the card—Sayak Baral, Barasat, Kolkata.
When Biren arrives in the neighborhood asking for Sayak Baral, no one by that name lives there. Instead, the address leads him to Jyotirmoy, who threatens him, warning that his family's lives will be in jeopardy if he doesn't comply. To his shock, he encounters the same boy from the ATM.
Later, Biren reaches Kashmir, where a man named Mirza provides him with identification under the name Sayak Baral.
Biren arrives in New Delhi and learns about a bomb blast in Srinagar that has killed four army personnel. On a call, Jyotirmoy instructs him to stay at a hotel. Soon after, a man named Rakesh enters Biren’s room and tells him that he needs to travel to Mumbai.
Meanwhile, Mini discovers a leaflet in Jyotirmoy’s room containing Arabic text. She asks her friend Mehezebin to translate it, and it turns out to mention freedom fighting. Suspicious about why such a leaflet is in her uncle’s possession, Mini starts investigating further.
During his flight to Mumbai, Biren sits next to an overly talkative co-passenger who irritates him. However, the conversation takes an interesting turn when the passenger mentions his friend, who had a connection to Sayak Baral—a RAW agent killed in Muzaffarabad, PoK. The co-passenger, Asraf Khan, later reveals himself to be a RAW officer and takes Biren in for interrogation. After listening to his account, Khan urges Biren not to abandon his mission.
Following instructions, Biren gets into a taxi, where the driver hands him a raincoat before stopping and stepping out. Suddenly, the driver is run over by a car. Biren is unsure if it is an accident or a planned killing. Soon after, the police arrive and take Biren into custody. To his horror, he discovers that a bomb has been planted inside the raincoat and that a second 26/11 attack is being planned. The hotel in Chandni Chowk, where Biren had been instructed to leave a bag, has already been bombed, killing many people.
Jyotirmoy informs his brothers, Somen (Mini’s father) and Suman, that he is heading to Kerala to attend a friend’s son’s wedding. However, Mini, still suspicious, reveals everything to her father and breaks into Jyotirmoy’s locked room. Inside, she finds crucial documents that lead her and her family to Jyotirmoy’s address.
Upon arriving at Jyotirmoy’s house, they discover that he has a wife named Yasmin and a son, who is four years older than Mini. Mini shares her location with the authorities, enabling the police to arrest Jyotirmoy and thwart the planned Mumbai bomb blast.
During interrogation, Jyotirmoy reveals that his associates have hijacked an operation involving a writer named Afsana Sayeed, who had sought refuge in India. She is being hunted by terrorist groups due to her outspoken opposition to their wrongdoings in Pakistan.
Mini and her family are devastated. The man they had known as gentle and harmless—someone who wouldn't even kill an ant—had been involved in something so atrocious.
Biren is astonished to find that Yasmin is with the terrorists. The terrorists demand a video call with Jyotirmoy, aka Hasal Al Maqsood.
Maqsood orders them to release the women and children, but Yasmin disobeys and releases the men instead.
The terrorists demand the release of Omor Sekh. Tushar identifies him as Yasmin’s former husband.
Due to Tushar's suspicion, the men's IDs are checked, and five of them are identified as potential terrorists. Intelligence officers suspect that the terrorists are planning something big.
At Mirza's request, Yasmin agrees not to kill Biren.
At last, as they are coming out of the flight with the hostages, snipers shoot Yasmin, Mirza, and the other terrorists.
Biren secures a job in the Intelligence Bureau.

When I flipped through its pages in the book fair, I never knew it would turn out to be so memorable for me. This version compiled both the sequels and I am so glad for it. I never thought I would enjoy reading about military missions and international security threats. I love, love, love it!
I would give it 5 stars out of 5.
⭐- The novel grips your attention from the very first extract. The author's writing style brims with tension and suspense. He maintains his first impression throughout his work.
⭐- The characters are amazing. Jyotirmoy, Mini, Biren, Tushar, Ashraf, each of their arcs are fascinating. I loved the way Abhik Dutta explained their motivations.
⭐- The vivid description of the torture which Mini went through deserves a whole star. Her fear, her bravery. When the Pakistani police officer rescued her, the first thing he thought was, "He didn't know from which country she was. She looked just like his own daughter." (Tearing up rn 🤧)
⭐- I loved the way the struggle between two religions were portrayed. None of them teaches violence, none of them teaches to abuse women, to perform bomb blasts, to kill innocent people.
⭐- The twists hit at the right places. I am so excited to read it's third and final installation!
🐱- I am dying to see some romantic sparks flying between Biren and Mini.
🐱- The sufferings of the common people were illustrated so well. The main victims are those people who had no contribution in these matters!
🐱- A must read for everyone out there!

বুক ফার্ম থেকে প্রকাশিত অভীক দত্ত 'র লেখা "ব্লু ফ্লাওয়ার সিরিজ" পড়া শেষ করেছি। এই বাংলা সিরিজটির বিষয়বস্তু - ভারতের সামরিক বুদ্ধিমত্তা( intelligence) , যাকে কেন্দ্র করে লেখক দেখিয়েছেন কেমন করে ভারতীয় ইন্টেলিজেন্স এবং সামরিকেরা প্রতিনি��়ত দেশ ও দেশের নাগরিকদেরকে বৈদেশিক শক্তি এবং সন্ত্রাসবাদের থেকে রক্ষা করে চলেছেন। এছাড়াও বৈদেশিক নীতি , ভারত-পাকিস্তান দ্বন্দ্ব, পারস্পরিক ধর্মীয়বিদ্বেষের ফলে সাধারণ মানুষের দৈনন্দিক জীবনের উপর কেমন প্রভাব পড়ে চলেছে, এইসবই সিরিজটিতে বারবার করে ফুটে উঠেছে।
উপন্যাসের প্রতিটি চরিত্রকেই যেন বাস্তবের মানুষজন বলে মনে হয়েছে। এছাড়াও গুপ্তচরবৃত্তি সম্পর্কে একটি যথাযথ ধারণা তৈরি হয়েছে। বইটির যে বিষয় আমার মনে সবথেকে বেশি দাগ কেটেছে তাহল লেখকের বর্ণিত ভারত -পাকিস্তান -বাংলাদেশ পটভূমির উত্তরণ।

Blue flower is about how Indian Intelligence Bureau tackles a series of terror attacks and finds the accomplices of the prime suspect. From the beginning, it sticks to the main plot without deviating from it even a little, which is good to keep the readers engrossed, but it somewhat curbs the scope for describing the circumstances, ambiences and mostly the proper characteristics of some characters that can be depicted only when those characters introspect or reflect on their surroundings and their own past. But as I said, the story is gripping and intriguing, and many a social issue of the present scenario of our country has been addressed through the dialogues between two characters. However, I felt that, in not too many places, the dialogues could have been more factual and neutral.
Overall, it kept me on the edge of the seat umpteen times.

এই ব্যাটা হনুমানের সিরিয়াস রকম বাংলাদেশ বিষয়ক অ্যালার্জি আছে। ইদানিং বিজেপির একটা সাংস্কৃতিক প্রপাগাণ্ডা টিম হয়েছে সিনেমা আর লেখালেখির জগতে, এর লেখা পুরোই সেই ধাঁচের। ইনডিয়ার সকল সমস্যার মূলে হয় পাক্কু লোকজন নাহলে বাংলাদেশ সীমান্ত দিয়ে তথাকথিত অবৈধ প্রবেশকারী লোকজন, এই হলো এসব প্রপাগাণ্ডার সারকথা। পাক্কু আর ইন্দোদের নিজেদের চুলকাচুলকির মাঝে কেন এরা বাংলাদেশকে টানে সেটা এসব সারমেয়রাই ভাল বলতে পারবে। পাকিস্তানি বর্বর আর জঙ্গীগুলোর সাথে এহেন ভারতীয় মৌলবাদী জঙ্গীর কোন তফাৎ পাই না।

ভালো লাগে নাই। পেপার থিন ক্যারেক্টার্স। চরিত্রগুলোর কাজকর্মের পেছনে যথেষ্ট বিশ্বাসযোগ্য মোটিভ বা ব্যাকস্টোরি পেলাম না।
