Not Sure of the Appropriate Age Range...
I find myself somewhat perplexed by this book. It is a picture book that looks like one appropriate for young children, yet the space facts shared seem more appropriate for older kids who already know some space terms. Younger children could certainly be confused by some of the big words and concepts in this book, so it would be helpful if the parent or caregiver had at least some background knowledge in astronomy so you could help out if needed. Some terms are certainly explained here, but not all or their importance to what was being said. At times, the book seems like a random combination of facts with some kid-friendly pictures. By the way, if you do not believe that Pluto is a planet—as do most modern astronomers—it is shown so here. On the plus side, the book is brightly colored and somewhat whimsical with traveling cats through space. It would certainly be visually appealing to the right child.

This book has fun illustrations of kitties exploring space. I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 4 year old and the pictures certainly fit his age range, the vocabulary and facts do not. Some terms used are better for older kids studying space, or parents who have background knowledge. The facts also seem kind of random.
Pluto is still a planet in this book, so there's that.
I think my alien loving space kid will like it, even if he doesn't understand it. I picked it up on Amazon for $16 and I feel it was overpriced for story quality.

Not only are the illustrations in this book delightful, the book also teaches kids so much about our solar system. Honestly, I learned quite a bit as well. I read it with my six year old grandson and he really liked it. Kid and adult approved here!
