If you like those fairy books (Maya the Harp fairy, Tweenie the puppy killer fairy, etc) then this is the book for you. Otherwise, don't bother.
This particular book is #12 in the series. (omg - how did they get 12 of these insipid things???) Binah's mom died when she was young. Now her dad is getting married to her 5th grade teacher (she's in 7th grade, so it's ok). Binah struggles with happiness for her dad but worry that she is betraying her mom somehow. Luckily her friends are there to support and encourage her all the way.
The narrative voice is full of slang that will quickly be dated and out of fashion. No respectable middle schooler would be caught dead with this book even though that's the age the main characters are supposed to be. Illustrations are reminiscent of "Wimpy Kid" meets manga.

I liked this book because it is interesting and romantic. the story is about a girl named binah who is one of the english roses. her dad is going to get married to her favorite teacher. but she is doubting about it because she thinks her mother who is looking down on from heaven is going to be mad at her. Later on, she finds a notebook in the attic that used to belong to her mother. Inside it say whatevr is right for Binah and her Dad will be alright for he dad will be alright for me. then binah isnt worried any more. she has so much fun preparing the wedding, that the days pass so fast. disaster happens at the wedding. but in the end, all five english roses end of being the bridesmaids!
