In this engaging book David Clark guides the reader through the theology of CS Lewis and illuminates the use and understanding of scripture in the works of this popular author.
A very readable introduction to the theology of C.S. Lewis. Of note for me was the section on Lewis' views on the soul, particularly his concept of purgatory, which I think is explored in The Great Divorce. Lewis looks at I Peter 3:19-20 and interprets this as Christ descending to Hades to preach to those who have not heard or yet accepted Christ as Lord. I think by this he overcomes the objection some have of it not being fair that some people never hear the gospel preached while they live. Definitely something I should like to read more on.
