Three Claws loves living in the quiet mountain village. He is very popular, but he has one big problem. The other mountain monsters don't know what to do with him. Will Three Claws be forced to leave the village?
Cari Meister lives on a small farm in Minnesota with her husband, four sons, three horses, one dog and one cat. Cari enjoys running, snowshoeing, horseback riding, and yoga. She loves to visit libraries and schools!
This is a character has three claws. At first, I really liked the idea of this monster, and the reader is told right away that he’s smelly. His towns people can’t stand the smell so they come up with a job where he’ll be alone on a mountain, so nobody can smell him. Even Three Claws thinks he’ll be lonely. In this book they are ostracizing someone for being different and for that reason alone I do not like this title, and I wish it was not part of a series of books I love.
Maybe I am just in a silly mood, but I totally enjoyed this fun easy-to-read (Level 3) bilingual book about Tres Garras (Three Claws) the mountain monster (el monstruo de la montana) and his stinky breath.
Thought it was a bit mean of the monsters to send 3 Claws to live alone on mountain as a lookout just because he has bad breath:( Not great, but it is in Spanish so I will order it for school.
