I read Vets In The Vestry years ago and enjoyed it very much. Poultry in the Pulpit was mentioned, but I could never find it. I was delighted to find it at Thriftbooks. (Now if I could just locate Dog Collar Diaries I would be so happy!!)
I enjoyed this book as much as the first. I always enjoy reading about animals, and loved reading about a minister who started out as a vet.
I enjoyed how he tied animal stories with his human "flock," and reminded us that the principles of loving and caring for animals is similar to how we should love and care for our fellow man.
If you ever read and enjoyed James Herriot's books you will like this one.

Poultry in the Pulpit by Alexander Cameron The tales of a Scottish minister who was formerly a Vet. Interesting stories, though some of the Vet stories sound vaguely like James Herriot's stories

An enjoyable continuation of "Vet in the Vestry" -- perhaps a little longer on ministerial stories than veterinary ones, but still an interesting mix.
