Rate this book
Yoga can reawaken the body to its full potential—and this illustrated introduction creates a complete class for the beginner. Now in a new edition, this fantastic guide is devised for a modern lifestyle and the problems that commonly come along with it, such as backache, neckache, stiffness, and tension. Of course, safety comes first, with side panels explaining the possible contraindications of each pose. The movements range from very easy balances and lunges to standing twists, cobra, and the back-stretching bridge.

This is a great yoga book that talks about what yoga is and what yoga is used for. It also talks about the benefits of meditation. I agree that yoga can help improve your sleep. I like doing yoga more now and I think yoga is wonderful to do.

Wonderful to have this in spiral format - makes for easy flipping pages when in need of a position diagram. Fantastic CD comes with this - have it on my iPod and the author's voice is soft and beautiful - perfect for Yoga instruction.

Alles wordt heel duidelijk uitgelegd aan de hand van foto's en er worden ook oplossingen getoond voor mensen die nog niet flexibel genoeg zijn om de oefeningen aan te kunnen. Ik ben heel tevreden over dit boek.
