I liked this one. It's typical of the style of 1800's historical fiction. It drags at times and waxes on but it is interesting too, and there were some interesting takes on the historical events. The fall of Jerusalem is chilling. The events are sad and horrific. It is a bit "edgy" for some readers, but I didn't mind it, and wouldn't prevent my teens from reading it. It might be too much for sensitive teens.
