This book covers all the basic questions a young child might have about space travel. This book begins by guiding children to each of the planets in the soar system with the help of photographs, illustrations, and easy-to-understand text. Children will learn about the many different people who study outer space, and the different techniques and tools they use to practice their trade.
All about space. This book really is all about space. This book is about different things in or about the solar system. You can learn many things such as planets, stars, telescopes and more. I recommend this book to any body who’s interested in learning about our solar system and people who like non fiction books. There is Pluto in this book, and although it is no longer a planet, you can still learn little things about it.
A fun colorful and informative introduction to space, space travel, stars, and the solar system. I looked at with my 2 and 4 year olds. Although the text was way above their level, the pictures and illustrations were great conversation starters. I then followed up with reading the easy reader Fancy Nancy Sees Stars as the bedtime story. They enjoyed the theme.
This practical picture book full of space information would be a great addition to a classroom library and could be used as a resource when doing either informational writing or a unit about space. This book is written as an easy to use encyclopedia that covers astronomy, the solar system, and space exploration. Students will love the many pictures that accompany each subject. However, I only gave it a 3 star rating because I would not use this as an example when teaching informational writing. It would simply be used as a resource.
