After their adventurous honeymoon in the previous book, Matt and Thomas are trying to settle into married bliss while dealing with Hollywood executives mangling Thomas’s story into what they consider to be movie material. The descriptions are quite realistic (from what little I know about the Hollywood movie machine), and since one of the authors knows pretty much exactly what Hollywood is like behind the scenes, I believe a situation like Thomas’s could very well happen. The goings-on made me cringe on Thomas’s behalf more than once, and I was glad he has Matt to support him.

Hollywood life isn’t all glamour and glitz for Thomas as he watches his novel, Last Chance, be picked apart and reworked to death by the movie industry. Lucky for Thomas, the executive in charge of production for the film is his husband, Matt. When the studio considers filming the movie in Canada, Matt and Thomas are off to Vancouver to scout for locations. Matt’s thrilled to visit Thomas’s home country, but he quickly notices all isn’t quite right with his husband.
For Thomas, being in Vancouver brings back dark memories; memories of his first love, Daniel, and their relationship being ripped apart by the machinations of another. When Thomas finds out that Daniel is still in Vancouver, he knows he has to see him again. And when he learns that Daniel is still in love with him, Thomas can’t help but feel desire for the man he once loved. The question is, is Thomas’s love for Matt stronger than emotions evoked by the past?
Happily ever after isn’t always smooth sailing. It takes love, understanding, and patience, which is largely what Black Point Surrendered is about. By far my favorite installment in the Black Point series, Black Point Surrendered captured my attention from first page to last. As with the previous books, Thomas and Matt are a sexy, irresistible pair, but what really grabbed me about this story is that it focused completely on them and the obstacles they faced both personally and professionally. In the previous Black Point stories, much of the plot was the heroes handling family drama. But by watching Matt and Thomas deal with their own problems, I was able to better connect with them, to become more attached to each man. While Black Point Surrendered deals with the impact Thomas’ unresolved issues about his first love has on his marriage, one of the things I loved is that the strength of Matt and Thomas’ love for one another never falters. A gripping, satisfying read that is sure to leave a smile on your face, Black Point Surrendered is not to be missed.

There are 6 books in this series currently. I think the story is kind of choppy in the first 2 books - the timeline seems off and rushed at parts but, the story line is very entertaining and overall I think they are worth reading. The characters are fun and the sex is hot. Just when I think there is too much sex, the author mixes it up and keeps it very entertaining. The stories in each book vary and kept me amused.
I recommend this series and enjoy it more and more as the books develop; however, I also recommend that you start with the 1st book and go in order otherwise it could get very confusing.

In this book, Matt and Thomas are living in California and working on the production of Thomas book, Last Chance, into a movie. When the suggestion is made to move filming to Canada, Thomas' past rears it's ugly head. There was a lot of emotional stress and turmoil in this book that Matt and Thomas have to work through. There are places where you just want to shake them and tell them to talk to each other instead of storming off into the night. The love these men have for each other runs deep, though, and it will take a lot to tear these two apart.

Keeping the drama, romance and less erotic scenes but still very good. Love it!
