Donald bought Grandma a goose, but Scrooge decided offered him double what he paid for it because he thought it would lay golden eggs. Donald took the money and bought Grandma two geese, while Scrooge tries everything to get the goose he bought to lay an egg. He eventually scares the goose and it flies away. He learns at the end of the book that he shouldn't have been so greedy.
