I found this guidebook extremely useful on my recent, brief trip to Paris. I picked it up (an old 2006 edition) at Half-Price Books. The first section of the book includes one-day, two-day, and three-day self-guided tours, allowing you to customize what you visit based on the length of your stay. I found I used these sections most often, including the little maps that went along with. I thought I would also use the more detailed maps of particular places, like the Louvre, but that map ended up being a bit too general for the complicated chaos that is that behemoth of a museum. What we found best of all were the restaurant recommendations in the day tours. Both times we used them, they were huge successes in terms of quality of food and service.
