After the one-man war he waged to save his goddaughter, John Stone is hunting down the man who murdered his friend and fellow Ranger. With the support of a privately funded special mission force, John and his new brothers-in-arms pursue a team of highly trained mercenary operatives connected to his target.
As the case unfolds, they find themselves in a race to discover the truth behind a top-secret joint-military venture. The only clue John has is a Guardian.
Allen Manning grew up in Las Vegas, raised on a steady diet of Saturday morning cartoons, video games, and tons of action movies. He also became a fan of fiction books while he was young, reading science fiction and fantasy adventure stories.
Now, he writes together with his twin brother, Brian Manning, to create fast-paced thriller books, filled with quippy dialogue and action movie inspired sequences.
My second book in a row from the Manning Brothers, which follows straight after Book 1.
Action packed, fast paced, gripping and straight into the story and the action.
No long international stories, no international settings, just action !
Honestly, the best way to explain the books, in when I sit down and watch a film that I know it's not too long, not too talky, not confusing, but just gives you an easy action packed story, easy watching.
A ruthless heist. No witnesses left alive.

Divide and Conquer is the explosive sequel in the John Stone military action-thriller series.
Ready for number 3..... Ordered and ready...
Four stars. Like action, you will enjoy these, okay sometimes a little far fetched and over the top, but who cares...
A lot of action and suspense. Very fast moving, but as part of the action the injuries that happen are not treated as real there is no man I have ever met who could continue to fight and move as John does. That is after 20 years in the army much of it in Airborne units with some of the toughest soldiers around.
Well, so I have read a war book or two. Not classics, but exciting pageturners. And the abilities to think fast, endure pain, and kill as need be are depicted in a kind of superhero way. The characters are free to kill other characters as they see fit. I have never read anything like this before now.
It was action packed, emotionally charged and a fun read. It reminded me of the Rambo novels where insurmountable odds were overcome by Scheer will. I enjoyed it very much. Dr. C
Really exciting thriller. The suspense and the thrills keep you interested in the story. I recommend this series. Can't wait to start the next book in the series
O enjoyed this second book in the John Stone series! Well written storyline , with well developed characters. I am looking forward to reading the rest of this series.
I enjoyed books 1&2 and look forward to 3. A little over the top at times but not too bad. My biggest problem is with the missed mistakes. Sorry, the wife was a writer/editor/graphic designer/publisher and just graduated with honors in lit. Because of the rule of never proofreading your own work, I get conscripted on a regular basis. Keep writing, I’ll keep reading.
Good but not excellent. So.e better research needed in the medical field. Just stabbing a syringe of epenephrine into the sternum will not work. It has to into the heart chamber and not the muscle. In the heart muscle will be 100% fatal. Has to be in the ventricle. Still a tad like a Capt. America wannabe. But entertaining
I really enjoyed this book. Unfortunately it is loaded with mistakes, from lack of articles to syntax errors.. In my mind, those detract from the enjoyment of a good read.
Fast action from first book is missing. Still has great choreographed fight scenes and great use of weaponry. Info about Mr. Gordon returning is a great tease for next book.
This is the second book in this series that I have downloaded. I forced myself to finish the first book despite everything being a bit too "easy" for the main character. I got this book because I really WANT this series to be good and I hoped the authors would have fixed their editing issues by the time this book came out. But the first paragraph shot that down with random words thrown in as if they had made edits and forgot to remove the prior wording. Between this continued problem and strange punctuation use (or non use), I couldn't even finish the first chapter. Very sad.
The BS meter running off the charts in this one. Look I like a writer's creative solutions but this book was nuts. Don't get me wrong like the first the action is good, story in line with current worries of Orwell theory about Big brother but MAN! The carp was so thick I might have thrown up a little. Still Loved the ending as with the first book the hero vanquished the bad guy the proper way but it would be better if reality crept in just a little more. I would have rated 3.5 stars if I could.
An AM. & BM. Military Operations (Black) Action Adventure (D&C) (AAPMPT) (AJSATB - 2)
AM. & BM. have penned a military operations (black) action adventure titled, "Divide and Conquer" which begins with JS joining a special government operations group. His team is after the same personnel, as in (B - 1), who are attempting to steal the computer devices that would allow them to access any computer. The stakes are high and the teams face insurmountable odds. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS
I love these kind of stories but you make him survive under Iinsurmountable odds. When I read stories like this I want them to be believable to an extent. To have a team that is highly trained would had it more believable and the situation you had him is not believable . So I have to say I was disappointed.
This is the second in the Former Army Ranger John Stone. This book in the series finds Stone dealing with former Russian Spetznaz soldiers. The action comes fast and furious. If you read the first book in the series, be sure to read #2.
Well written a very exciting story. John Stone served in the Army Ranges, put himself back in action when his goddaughter was kidnapped. He stand for truth, justice and the American way. Looking forward to his Continuing story
Great action, non stop! Hope Ty stays in the series, he's a hoot...made me laugh when the intensity was high. Parker's hacking ability is loaded with such savvy, it's remarkably clear and great. Loved this sequel, just keep them coming!
I'm totally loving the impromptu trio. A computer guy, a shady delivery guy, and an ex Ranger. What a team sounds like a joke but it's anything but. I will keep reading as long as this unbelievable team keeps saving lives.
I continue to enjoy the surprising strengths discovered in each character as they face unimaginable threats and other challenges to their safety and/or the mission!!!
Was an OK read, the action is way over the top, to the point of being unbelievable. Realize it is the first in the series, will try #2 to see if it gets more realistic, if not, I’m finished with this series.
This series is getting better with each book. However, I did find a lot of the action sequences overly descriptive and rather exhausting. But still along for the ride. Did I miss the role of Dr. Spencer? It seems only to attend meetings.
The second John Stone adventure is a fast moving adventure that keeps you reding more. Stone is in the mold of Reacher, Flynn and other action characters. Cant wait to read book 3.
I like the detail, and keeping a few just regular people who step up. It is truly an action packed thriller. The only complaint is it is done...but on to the next! Good job!
