The Hana Du Rose Mysteries #6
The Du Rose Prophecy
A prophecy in the making. History for the taking. And disaster beckons the sons of an ancient family.
Decades ago on a mountain in New Zealand, a rich landowner sat with her grandson and told him the stories of his people. She prophesied he would be the one to rebuild their legacy.
Thirty-five years later and Logan Du Rose is trying to make it happen, but history will not make it easy for him. Each time he believes the prophecy is fulfilled, circumstance gets in the way. As he struggles to keep his new family line together, he's distracted by disturbing events.
Two deaths at his workplace cause upset and disbelief among the staff, whilst the return of mysterious family treasures create trouble within Logan's household. The diaries of his grandmother have untold stories to reveal, threatening the safety of his legacy forever.

She emigrated to New Zealand in 2006 with her family on a one way ticket. They arrived with just one suitcase each. The international bestselling Hana Du Rose Mysteries began shortly afterwards, hammered out on an old laptop used for Skyping family back home.
Since then, she has published more than twenty five books ranging from women's literature through teen series, to a fantasy trilogy.
The author has given interviews to That's Life Magazine and the BBC during her writing career. Each of her first in series novels are free to readers on all digital platforms.
K T Bowes has a passion for folk art and renovating wooden furniture. Her work as an archivist often appears within story lines. After two significant falls, she gave up horse riding but often has a guest horse or two in the paddock. She lives above the city of Hamilton, close to the Waikato River and the Hakarimata Ranges. Many of her novels are based in New Zealand, but some transport the reader back to England and the Midlands where she grew up.

Logan can be an arse. Can he be redeemed? As usual Hana is her usual difficult self. She gets into trouble through someone else's doing, but scares Logan anyway. Can they work things out? Just how smart is their daughter, Phoenix? Another great read from K.T. Bowes. Remember to read this series from the beginning to understand and enjoy all the nuances of the story.

How much can a marriage take in its first year?
If you enjoy mysterious reads, this series will compel you to keep reading. Hana & Logan get married & have a baby. So much goes on in their life after marriage; it's uncanny. Murder, kidnapping, family mystery, it goes on & on. There are affairs, young & old are all taking part. Must read series!

I picked this up the minute I finished the previous book in the series (One Heartbeat) and I spent the whole book wondering if this time, Hana's end would come, as I knew it was the last book in the series. As I don't do spoilers, you'll have to read this one yourself to find that out - but I will say that the ending was brilliantly constructed.
By the second half of this book, I couldn't concentrate on much else, because I had to know what happened next.
More than ever, it makes me want to go to New Zealand, to see the places Ms Bowes mentions and in the hope that I can understand even the tiniest bit of the Maori culture she's explained so well. Throughout every book in this series, I felt like I was in New Zealand with Hana, Logan, Tama and everyone else and this was no exception.
This was an incredible series from start to finish. Five stars, no question.

December 21, 2013As always, I took a lot of care over writing this novel, although the pressure on me this time seemed to make it much harder. I felt that there was much more expectation for The Du Rose Prophecy, than there had been for any of the others. The other novels just fed out into the slipstream but this one seemed to be eagerly awaited. Because it may well be the last in this series, I needed it to be exactly right. It was unnerving to have people actively waiting for something that I was going to produce. I love my characters and am not sure that I will be able to leave them entirely alone forever. The one unusual feature of it, is that David Allen's character is a real person, whose name and personality I used with permission. Enjoy.
