Yawn and stretch! It’s time to wake up! Three little dinosaurs have fun trying to wake their sleeping mother. They poke, they pinch, and they push, but nothing seems to work. All she does is snore, snore, snore! Is she really asleep? Or is she just pretending? Humorous watercolor illustrations add to this dino-romp about getting mom to wake up.

Wonderful and colorful illustrations! The story is basically the little dinosaurs trying to wake up their mom by dong various things. Most of the words are the actions the little dinosaurs do to their mom. I enjoyed the book. It is very short since the book doesn't really have many sentences.

This is a very simple book with very little text. I don't think I would use it for storytime. There just isn't enough book to make it interesting. The pictures are cute though.

Dinosaurs + young boys = fun!My boys loved the book. My 2-year-old liked the action. My 4-and-a-half-year-old loved being able to actually read the words. With only three words per page, most were within the range of words he could figure out using letter sounds and simple blends. Both of them loved the last page when Mama starts chasing the dinosaur kids (in play, of course) -- "ROAR, ROAR, ROAR!"

This was a cute book. My son liked the sound words that make up the text, but I don't think he understood the story line without me explaining what was going on. It was cute, but we won't read it again.

A great book about onomatopoeia (yes my favorite literature word) The slash, claw, splitter, and the simple words like run, yawn, wake up are simple and fun. The pictures are nice, and the dinosaur lover in your house will think this is a riot! Enjoy!

The book uses a good selection of verbs for an audience of first grade or younger. Unfortunately, the illustrations do not depict the words as well as they should.
