The special bond between father and daughter protect them from pirates and alligators and guide them on the backs of eagles on which they return to their own home where Daddy tucks his little girl safely in her bed. Daddy reminds his little girl that however far they might roam and however high they fly, his love for his little girl will always keep them safe and strong.

John Carter Cash is a five-time Grammy-winning record producer, and author of numerous articles published in popular newspapers and magazines. He owns and manages Cash Cabin Studio. John Carter diligently preserves the family legacy and is caretaker to the heritage of his muscial ancestors. He is the only child of June Carter and Johnny Cash. He lives with his wife, Laura, and three children, Joseph, Anna Maybelle, and Jack Ezra, in Hendersonville, Tennessee.

Cash, John Carter DADDY LOVES HIS LITTLE GIRL AD- Pre-2

Daddy Loves His Little Girl expresses a father’s boundless love for his daughter with phrases like “deep as the ocean blue” and “wider than the mighty river.” The illustrations are richly wrought in bright-colored, folk art paintings that skew perspective in creative ways to make dad and daughter sometimes larger and sometimes smaller than real life. To represent the fun fathers and daughters can have together, the author serves up an adventure involving alligators, pirates, castles, riding on an eagle’s back, and a trip to an enchanted land full of treasures. The problem is that this fanciful story seems like a grab bag of clichés that do not add anything of value to our usual metaphors for infinite parental love. The rhymes are often awkward and forced, such as “…dance to Bluebird’s whistles” rhymed with “run faster than the tiger through the flowers and the thistles.” The book does not live up to the Cash family reputation for profound expression.

Daddy Loves His Little Girl is a story by Carter Cash. I would categorize this story into the fairytale genre due to the fact it discusses a young girls imaginative journey with her father. This book is a very easy read with very detailed pictures. The pictures would definitely keep a young reader engaged throughout the story. During the story, the young girl talks about traveling to kingdoms, fighting pirates, and riding on elephants with her dad. The story shows the importance of having a father-daughter relationship and how a young child typically views her dad as a hero.

This would be the perfect book for a dad to read with his daughter. And father daughter books are not plentiful.
