Kurval kombel on osa raamatust esitatud väidetest viimase paarikümne aasta jooksul ümber lükatud. Peter Ingman, anyone?

A good but not outstanding treatment of the subject matter. Comprehensive as much as it can be for it's short 200 page format. The only real drawback (to me) is that about 40% of the book is devoted exclusively to WWI. An interesting topic, to be sure, and very important historically (that conflict is where the fundamentals of air warfare that are still true today were developed), that coverage is furnished at the expense of other topics which are given only minimal examination. All of the Arab-Israeli conflicts with their groundbreaking air combat are only given a SINGLE page in the book, with the game-changing Israeli air campaign on 1967 getting but one paragraph.

All that said, this is a worthwhile read for someone wanting a broad introduction to the subject matter or a knowledgeable reader wanting a review. And, as always, there are new details and insights to be gained from any study.

An excellent reference book about fighter combat in WW 1 & WW 2. It contains lots of neat details on planes, pilots, and tactics.
