It's 1994 and the unexpected events of summer promise to be as hot as the heat itself in Chatham, New Mexico, for identical twin brothers Ransom and Harley Lawson. One is being groomed to lead by birthright in the Immortals MC while the other will challenge that generations-old rule for the greater good and survival of the club and their brotherhood.
Inseparable since birth, the brothers have never let anything or anyone come between them until a returning ex-con club member and the arrival of a beautiful stranger cause their worlds to shift and their priorities right along with them.
Fed up with her grandfather's autocratic behavior, eighteen-year-old Willamina "Billy" Stanton rebels and flees from Santa Barbara. She heads to Chatham in the hopes of finally meeting her estranged father when she stumbles into Immortals territory, and into the arms of a lethal, green-eyed biker.
For Ransom, she is everything his twenty-two-year-old heart will ever desire, even more than the title of "Prez". However, his loyalty to Harley and the club come first—a fact that he's continuously reminded of as his twin embarks on a dangerous path . . .
D. A. Young is a best-selling author and lover of multilayered adventures. Food, traveling, and music are her passions. You can often find all three in the contemporary escapades she creates.
Y’all! This is unlike any DA Young story that I’ve ever read before. Yes, it has the familiar elements of love, loss, a-ha moments… But who knew she had a downright mean and dirty side?! The range, y’all. The range!
Just so you know, this is an MC (motorcycle club) romance. As with any biker story, there are some harsh elements that will have your eyebrows touching your hairline. I love the good vs. evil element between the two brothers, Ransom and Harley. I love the feisty, headstrong heroine Billy. I love the picturesque settings of the southwest. I can smell the beer and sweat emanating from The Immortals compound. I see a$$es wiggling at the local strip joint. I can hear the roar of the Harleys as they push up dirt with every take off. I can feel the chemistry between Ransom and Billy leap from the pages, and yes, I even shed a tear or two during pivotal moments in this story.
All of this is what makes The Ties That Bind a winner. My every sense and emotion were captured. And that ending??? You better come through with book 2!
Some people have a harder lesson to learn than others
Harley and Pitch have set themselves up for a deadly lesson to be learned. Harley's attitude and behavior is just atrocious and Pitch is just as bad being his enabler with his own agenda. Slade Lawson, Harley and Ransom's father, may have learned his lesson too late for Claudia Vargas his wife and mother of the twins. She may be giving him back a taste of his own medicine. Even Neville Stanton, Willamina "Billy" Stanton's grandfather is making an effort to change his ways for the sake his granddaughter.
When Ransom rescued Billy from car trouble on the side of a lonely country road, they both felt an instant attraction and chemistry. They held off on consummating that attraction but when they did, it was on and popping hot and heavy. They fell deeply in love for one another. There were only several problems with this relationship. Ransom did not want his fancypants anywhere around his family's motorcycle club, the Immortals. He did not want to contaminate her life with this lifestyle and neither did her father Marcus "Rage" Glover. The other problem was that Billy was scheduled to start her freshman year in college in several weeks and would have to leave. They wanted to make the best of their time together where Ransom spent as much time with his wildthing as possible before she was to leave. Despite this, Billy was willing to try to make a long distance relationship work. Ransom felt the same way and had a difficult time in verbalizing how he really felt to her. He wanted to keep his fancypants by his side and never left her go but felt that that would not be fair to her. Billy misinterpreted his silence as his only being content with their relationship being only a sexual one and abruptly left Chatham. Little did she know that when she left, she left a gaping whole in Ransom's chest where his heart used to be and this turned his world upside down.
This was a well written story about a strong sassy independent young woman trying to go on with life and mourning the death of her mother and dealing with falling in love for the first time. It's going to be interesting to see what's in store for Billy and Ransom in the upcoming books.
Started off well enough, and I was really excited, but it turned into a clichéd, overdone mess that had me skimming. I LOVED Ransom. Billy, I liked her half the time and was irritated with her the other half. I'm deathly allergic to ghetto and her mother's advice, though good in theory, just proved annoying and an excuse for her to act a fool. I was really enjoying her and Ransom though, until she threw me for a loop with the typical black heroine faulty, dramatic non-logic. So you've decided that this is a temporary thing, and you're leaving town soon because a biker town is not in your future and you have a life to go back to. That already threw me for a loop since it seemed like she was thinking long term, but then when Ransom said EXACTLY what she just said, for the exact same reasons, she's mad and huffy because he's 'giving up', and doesn't 'want to fight' for their all-of-five-day relationship. Then you up and leave town without telling him. For why? Cause you're independent and he didn't tell you he loved you back when you told him? Yeah ok. Just totally lost me, and I really have no interest in reading about their reunion. Also, I HATED the undercover law enforcement reveal. So clichéd and corny.
The most interesting thing to me now is the reveal at the end, and to see what will happen with Harley. And the Marcus/Claudia angle cause that will surely throw a wrench in MANY things.
What a way to start a series. This was a really good book with a lot of twist and turns. The romance between Ransom and Billy was the focal point and very sweet and hot but, the side stories and drama is what keep me interested. There was so much going on that at one point, I forgot this was suppose to be a romance. Despite that, this was definitely worth the read. The author really set this up nicely. The way it is written, it makes you want more, kind of like the 80s soap opera era when you would rush home to watch the next episode. Can't wait to read book 2.
Typically, I enjoy D.A Young Books....However, the things that are going in in this book that went unaddressed is totally a let down for me....I completely understand the Motorcycle Club dynamic and I understand that drinking, drug use, cursing, fighting, womanizing and other nefarious things...but, the raping, torturing, killing of innocent women and human trafficking that took place and went unaddressed really left a bad taste in mouth. I did borrow book 2....hopefully there will be some resolution to these cowardly acts. The main characters are interesting to say the least....The narration was decently provided by Mari and J. F. Harding.
I've been contemplating reading this author... for a minute. I am glad I chose this one to read in its entirety first. The writing seemed like it was rough when transitioning PoV, but I listened to the audiobook and the narrators helped.
I liked the love story, with the little grit of the MC world presented. My four stars are pending because this is the first book that ended on a cliffhanger, so Book 2 will wrap it up later this month and then my full review will come
I just had to write a review for this one. I started this book not knowing what to expect, and then got brought into a world I wasn't expecting. I loved everything about the main characters Billy and Ransom. I felt like I was right there with them throughout this whole story. I won't say much, but you have to read this one. I'm literally feenin for the next part. Yes, it ends in a cliffhanger, but don't let that stop you from picking up this read. This book characters definitely bring you in, from Marcus, to Claudia, Shakes, and Blaze. Plus you have those characters you love to despise, in my case its Harley, Slade, and Pitch with a passion. Another great read by D A Young. Can't wait for the next one
Where do I begin with this one? For full disclosure, this is my first time reading a D.A. Young book. I won’t bother with a summary of The Ties that Bind. Let’s get right to the review. I’m anxious to be done with it.
The Good Technically speaking the book was readable. There was some copy edit issues, but that’s par for the course with indie reads. Pacing was touch and go. It took me two days to get through the sample. Keep in mind that’s only fifteen percent of the book. Otherwise, the structure of the story was fine, although the author was inconsistent with how she formatted her dialogue. Parts of present conversations were sometimes italicized for no reason, which could be confusing when flashbacks were also italicized. What stood out the best though?
Young does a respectable job laying out the rough and dirty atmosphere of a biker gang. There are no Prince Charmings in this bunch. These are unpleasant people; men and women alike. This is no fairytale dressed in a leather cut. And while there’s little to nothing to love about the bikers in this story, there is one thing to love about the heroine.
The author does something I rarely see in the BWWM Romance genre, she creates a heroine with an aesthetic that doesn’t fall into the trap many other books are plagued with: colorism and featurism. Billy, is described as having deep brown skin (nutmeg if you will – gotta love those food adjectives), dark brown eyes, full lips and a broad nose. Well, I do not know how many BWWM romance books you’ve read, but I cannot count one time, not one time, I’ve read a book in this genre that described the heroine as having a broad nose. If I’m being honest, that’s the sole reason, she earned the first star in this review. On that alone, she deserved props. But there’s nothing prop-worthy about the rest of this review.
The Bad Outside of aesthetics, Billy is a threadbare, superficial character. From the writing, I gather that the intention is for us to empathize with her. That she is the focus, the main guide on this journey. But she’s a poor guide. We’re offered unflattering tidbits about her: she buys drugs, steals, and is quick to fight when someone disrespects her. But later, these actions are glossed over as mere misunderstandings. That she did these things for a noble cause. I would respect the story more, if the author had stuck by this depiction, and built the character up, allowed the character to grow from her youthful, misguided behaviors. Giving her an out, just seemed uninteresting and trite. Also, we’re constantly reminded how, innocent, poised, sophisticated and well-off Billy is, and yet, her actions and behaviors are the complete opposite. Aside from the constant brand dropping throughout the story, Billy constantly uses slang, refers to women as bitches and ho’s, overreacts to minor situations with violence or the threat of violence, and has no problem offering her body to someone of questionable character, who she barely knows. I get that the character is eighteen, what I do not get is why we’re supposed to believe that this eighteen year old who was raised in wealth and privilege is acting so basic and hood-like? Are we supposed to just ignore that and pretend that’s not the background she was given? That her actions don’t match up to that background? Of course, the author tries and fails to provide a reason for Billy’s off-ness by interjecting her dead mother into the narrative. In my opinion, that’s just lackluster writing. When it all winds down, we’re left with one of the most basic and trite tropes that run rampant through this genre. A cliffhanger I don’t need to spoil it here, you can guess without thinking too hard on it. It’s like, really? But let me move on, because a threadbare heroine and trite ending is one thing, the rest of the story is a different, graver matter. One that just doesn’t pass the sniff test.
The Ugly I do not want to spoil too much here for those of you that decide to forge ahead and read this book despite my review. But I will state this, have some Tylenol on hand, and read on an empty stomach. Aside from the massive headache you may come away with, you may also be inclined to repeatedly dry heave. This story contains rape. Yes, rape. Not dubious consent or some BDSM play. No, I’m talking brutal rape and murder. Speaking of murder, there’s lots of it in this book. Human life is taken without so much as a bat of the eye. And the victims most thoroughly explored are women. That is something that’s too ugly to contemplate. That the hero of the story is very aware and involved in this behavior is something that kills the romance vibe. A romance mind you that never had wings to begin with.
Young does everything wrong in building the romance aspect of the story. From the trite way in which they meet, to having the hero and heroine fall in love at first sight without any nuance. They get physical in the blink of an eye – again without any build up or nuance. But most egregious is that the heroine reacts in a dismissive manner to the hero’s confession of being involved in illegal and violent behavior (including murder). That is far from romantic. Frankly, it’s gross!
Sutter did it better Now, I know (it’s painfully obvious) the author was inspired by Sons of Anarchy - and I personally have no objection to stories being created and built around fictional Motorcycle Clubs. What I have a problem with is, everyone thinking they’re Kurt Sutter, when they ain’t! The reason S.O.A with all its problems, worked, is because Sutter made you care about the characters. Even the most despicable ones. He built a universe with intricate plots. He developed characters so that you understood their motivations (right or wrong). Most of his villains and heroes weren’t drawn as black or white. There’s layers to this! Most important he wasn’t writing a romance or erotic series! And if you do not get that, then trying to write something as hard as this is going to go very wrong, very fast. Sadly, Young’s story took a wrong turn fast, and failed to hit its mark. Unless she’s writing a thriller, sans the romance, I don’t see how she can recover from this. The book, as edgy romance, just doesn’t work. Will I continue this series? Before this book, I hadn't read any of the MC series that have popped up in the years since Sons of Anarchy hit the airwaves. The Ties that Bind doesn’t endear me to explore the trend further. I'm 99% certain, I will not continue with this series. Until next time, happy reading!
This is my first book by this author. I'm not sure how a "biker gang" book is supposed to be written but there was a cheese factor level going on with the male and female leads.
So we meet Billy. Billy has gone through a life crisis at the age of 18. At a request from her mother, she goes to live with her grandparents, never knowing her father. After a while, Billy understands why her mother left home.
While all of this happening, you meet Ransom. The younger half of identical twins Harley and Ransom. They are the sons of club Prez Slade Lawson of the immortals Mortor cycle club. Ransom just knows the MC Is the way of life. He will always be of service to his family. But Slade and Harley have other plans along with Pitch.
So Billy and Harley meet and it's lust at first sight lol They were cute but I understand a little when other reviewers say their characters were one-dimensional. They are really young in this book but almost seem to have an older adult mindset except for the spat about their relationship was childish at best. The book left many questions. Especially about Harley and what is going on with Harley. He and Pitch are serial killers? Possibly and the twist at the end with Angela. Yup, the rest of the book is going to be interesting. Everybody is deep in Ish. Billy's Grandparents, Billy's father. Ransom's Brother, father and mother are all in some mess. I'll read other books by this author.
I don't normally read books about young adults, but I am a D.A. Young fan. So I decided to read this one. I was pleasantly surprised. I was engaged from beginning to the end and liked getting to know the characters. I loved Billy's personality she did not play. Ransom is a better man with her. He had quite a bit to juggle. Harley needs serious help. The ending 😱
The POV changes are so frequent and unannounced, it gives you whip lash. It's super confusing trying to keep up. This would have done better if it just followed two characters in sequential chapters, like typical MC romances.
Anyone else just unsettled by all the unnecessary violence? It almost seems unrealistic the way they beat/kill people without even thinking about it. Harley purposely kills a girl for kicking him in the junk after he grabbed and pinched her butt. Um excuse me? Like no remorse or reason at all makes most of the male characters unlikable to me. They are pretty much just assholes for no reason.
Speaking of characters, Ransom is introduced as a no nonsense, tough as nails, and kind of a jerk type of guy with a list of rules and some kind of code he lives by. Then this all goes out the window in a cliché moment when he meets Billy, which is totally expected. However, it is done is such a cringy way that is so completely out of character that ruins the scene for me.
Just a quick disclaimer: I am an audiobook proofreader and I read a ton of romances for work, so I know how these things go. This author missed a huge mark considering this is a romance. She spends a couple chapters building sexual tension with an intense make out scene, then appears to skip over their first time with this confusing line: "The things Ransom did to her when they were alone could hardly be considered friendly." Makes it look like we readers missed their first time. Nope: "She wasn’t loose by any means, but the anticipation of him finally getting into her pants was killing Billy." Just another bad writing twist. (The 2 quotes have about 4 pages of irrelevant nonsense between them).
Speaking of confusing "not sex" scenes, what is this: "Billy knew he was just as affected as she was. She could feel the evidence pressed against her abdomen, hard and heavy. It was also in Ransom’s feral eyes that watched her unravel for him nightly. He took fierce pride in the way Billy’s fists clutched his cut and her leg hooked around his as their mouths fused together. Long, thick fingers tangled in her hair, holding her in place, as Ransom destroyed her from the inside out with single-minded precision." But yup, not sex. Idk why this is necessary. Billy doesn't explain some kind of moral code about waiting. Just leaves me confused as to what is actually going on. There's other confusing sex scenes, but I'm only going to comment on that one.
I gave this 2 stars because I did find myself enjoying the story and wanting to read the next one, despite the awful writing.
Quotes that bothered me:
"It was a genuine, innocent laugh that sent her braids flying around her face as she succumbed to pure bliss." This is 2 braids ("...she wore her black hair in two braids that fell past her shoulders...") I have wicked long hair and this has never happened to me. Ever.
"The kiss was seductive and dominating, sending their erogenous zones into chaos." I'm sorry, this phrasing isn't sexy. There's phrases like this and weird logic all over too ("friction caused by her ministrations" "He wasn’t surprised to feel her dampness through the denim of his jeans and her shorts" "She seriously wanted to crawl into him and get lost." etc)
Finally, long time waiting (since2018) and still have to wait for book3 part 2...mannnn😩😩😩
This was such a long time coming(since 2018) you would think the author will be sick and bothered about this but she still has abook3 part2 to come along and hopefully it will not be for another 2 years wait...
Willemina “billy” was such a great soul, and character with a slight downside. She was just too nice and not outspoken enough. A lot would have changed had she stopped for a moment and express herself. It was a nice touch to hear Melody speak to her but enough of the me, me, me for once . Hopefully she will see her wrongs.
Ransom, wow! (In the voice of Salt n Pepper) “what a man, what a man, what mighty good man...~lol” the most I will say. Alpha, loyal, good, righteous, fair, handsome, gangster, virile, badass...and the list continues for this specimen of a man, and yet he couldn’t communicate for nothing. A perfect main male character! Definitely bae...
This was a story of how two unlikely, opposite attracts , different side of the tracks meets up and fall deeply in love except that family, loyalties and plans can make one almost miss out on a good thing... these two really only needed to sit down and talk but nothing is easy (and hey, 3 books must be sold and need contents of) , so for now they cant communicate and they miss out on some time with each other. Then you have on the other parts of the story, the ugly, ugliest, and downright disgusting actions, that we pray Karma comes quick and make a swift and clean lesson. We know our girl never miss.
Harley, And Pitch, and Slade derserved everything and anything that they receive. Marcus, Lorelai, Neville, Claudia, you are all a bunch of weird people and I know MS. Young will shed some lights out for us as well as Kent(side eyeing him👀) and even Angela. Why would you keep the babies, duh!
In any case couldn’t comment too much on the story because this was truly an intro to the characters and a little bit of their dynamics which is entirely wrong from Melody, Neville, Porsha, to Slade and Claudia, Marcus and Lorelai and Harley, Ransom, Billy, Pitch, Shakes, Kent, Angela and other outside influence from the other bikers, the cops and the Spanish man.... a lot going on! So I am going to stop, take a break, read something else before I resume it, but I surely am not rushing when it could take another 2 years to finish it(bummer😒😒😒) while I done read every single book of this author already....
3.00 Stars (BW/WM). Audible audiobook narrated by J. F. Harding and Mari. Motorcycle Club Romance. Insta lust/love. Drama for dramas sake. Stories about minor characters eclipse romance story of protagonists. I read this book because it is a MC romance featuring a Black main character; that aside, I didn't like the heroine for much of the book, I didn't like that the storyline is being dragged out to create drama that will justify turning what could be one good book into a mediocre series. The heroine, 18-year-old Willamina "Billie" Stanton, decides to make a pit stop in New Mexico to find her astranged father as she motors to California on her way to college. On route, Billie, has car trouble and poison animal trouble which leads to her being rescued by the hero, Ransom Lawson. Ransom is headed home after rescuing a young lady from a vicious sexual assault by Ransom's twin brother and crew. Ransom is a member of Immortals MC located in the town where Billie expects to meet her father. Ransom and Billie become a couple from that point on until they fall out at the end of this first installment. The story resolves in Billie's and Random's and the host of other characters after 3 more predictable drama filled installments.
I'm a big fan of the author's work so I was really happy to see there was a new series. This is a MC romance, which is one of my favorite genre. This is the story of Random and Willaminia " Billy", who goes to the small town where Ransom MC is located to get to know her estranged father after her mother's death from cancer. Neither of them plan on starting a relationship but the fiery chemistry between them can't be denied. The author always writes pretty complex plots so there are LOTS of characters to get to know and lots of plot twists. I really like Billy a lot, she's young but she's pretty mature and while she falls for Ransom pretty fast, she remains her own person and doesn't give up her dreams for Ransom. Ransom is something else! Handsome and passionate about all things Billy, he falls hard for her but is conflicted because of his loyalty to his club and to his deranged identical twin Harley. The only reason I didn't give the book 4 stars is its a cliffhanger. Why don't authors tell you that upfront?! I would have waited for the entire series to be published so I wouldn't have disruptions in my reading.
This is my review and how I see it. Author D.A. Young's The Ties That Bind explores the relationship between Billy and Ransome two strangers that are drawn to each other at first sight.
Billy just having suffered a recent tragedy and the breakdown of a relationship that never fully got off the ground decided to visit the only person in her life that she never met.
Ransom the second born twin of the Immortals MC president Slade is the strong and silent type, but has no problem voice and breaking his own rules when it comes to Billy. However, Ransom has is own issues on the homefront and he will do everything in his power to keep his relationship with Billy and his club life separate.
Knowing their time is limited someone is bound to get hurt. Will the ties that bind Ransom to the club overrule his relationship with Billy or will a misunderstand cause heartache on both parts?
This story ends on a cliffhanger I did not expect and September is just around the corner I can not wait to read the second book of this series.
Let me just say that this book is awesome! D. A. Really showed out with this one! A must read! Ransom is the man! To say he's an oxymoron would be accurate. He's a man of honor and character but yet he's an enforcer in the MC that traffics cocaine and guns. With a father like Slade, who needs enemies! It amazes me that he can't see the hell he's put the twins through. Twins are supposed to be indivisible yet Harley thinks that being the first born makes him special. He allows others to feed his insecurities not realizing he's being used. Billy is a free spirit that is in mourning and heartbroken because of her mother's passing. She's Ransom's soulmate she's young and impulsive like 19 year olds are. Finally meeting her father is good but things aren't as they seem. With the way book one ended, (I knew that was going to happen) you know the next one will be off the chain!
It's review time 🎧 Warning ⚠️: An Mc club story, twin, kinda of a mafia story, a strong woman, a part of a series.
Narrator score🎧 ; J.f Harding is one of my favorite narrators ever I adore his voice so very much, he did a great job with this book.
Level of anxiety and sadness0😱😢: well the book has a looooot of drama like too much of it. But I can't say it was sad, a lot of things happened too fast and a lot of other things were dragged a bit.
The book itself📖: I can truly admit that I would want to listen to this book if it wasn't the brilliant J.f Harding, but I can also say that though I wasn't expecting much of the book i did enjoy it and I saying it with that surprised tone because I really didn't think I'll like it. And this is the fact that I took a book because of the narrator and I'm happy I did it. I can say that it wasn't the first time The book was good and I was enthralled with it
HANDS DOWN BEST INTERRACIAL ROMANTIC SUSPENSE SERIES THERE HAS EVER OR EVER SHALL BE. Now, granted-thats a small ass group since almost none exist, so let me be clear--this is the best MC IR, and maybe the best IR overall that I've read. In 20 years. Take ya time digesting that because if you follow me, you know I'm kind of picky.
Do not hesitate, get all up in here on this goodness. I have read Young before, but she wasn't hitting like THIS! I am now on Book 3, part 2 and let me tell y'all, I am STILL engrossed!
The things I'd change are so minimal I can't bring myself to deduct a star. The nicknames, ok? Its the nicknames Ransom has for Billy. I can't. Just dumb, but yo, easy to suffer in exchange for this greatness. The sex scenes aren't the best I've ever read, but I'm so tired of those being the focus in this genre I don't even care.
So, this is a departure from DA's "normal" stories but still so her style! Fiesty, self assured Willimina"Billy" Stanton has just had her world turned upside down with the loss of her mother. After a heated blow up with her estranged grandfather, she sets out to connect with the father she never knew. When her car breaks down, she is rescued by sexy biker Ransom Lawson. Sparks fly and from there, trouble and heartbreak ensues, when Ransom tries to protect her from his lifestyle and twin brother Harley(who is a total douche). Not to give anything away but there is a reveal toward the end that had me gasping out loud and slapping my knee because I totally didn't see that coming! And that cliffhanger tho.....that's how you do it. I reread that last couple of pages just to make sure I was reading it right.....whew chile!
What is wrong with this book 😯. It starts out with no real back ground on the people in this story. I can say it's different from the other books by Mrs. Young.
This story was more about bikers life and keeping to the rules. All I can say is the twins father is a nasty man.
Billy is a young lady who mother past away and she is true to find herself in anything. Ranson is a young man in a life that isn't for him. He is a hard core biker with a soft spot.
I felt the H/h just rushed into things. There wasn't much chemistry for me just lust.
Now Harley and Pitch are just down Wright nuts. Pitch has a plan and Harley is so dumb he cannot see it.
I just hope in the second book that Ranson can get to Billy before his brother does.
Waiting on book two to see if Billy will find out Angela story and the background of her being pregnant with twins😮
I think wow is really the best word to describe this book. It took me awhile to get into it because it had so many people and terms to remember, and my ADHD ain't set up for all of that. But I made myself push through bc I love this author and she has never let me down before. Well, she didn't this time either and I got past all the different characters very fast. Ransom and Billy OMG I need a love like that. There are just so many story lines that keep pulling you in different directions but all so connected at even I could follow. I NEED to know how it ends the suspense is going to kill me. Amazing job D. A. Young as usual you have left me wanting more. Good thing the second book is already out.
this was a good introduction to the series. the main couple is Billy and Ransom. Billy is a priveged black girl from California. Ransom is a handsome biker living in New Mexico. after Billy'smom dies, she travels to New Mexico to find her father. there she meets Ransom and falls in love.
I was surprised that there wasn't more commentary on Ransom being in love with a black girl. everyone seemed to just accept it.
the side characters were plentiful. there is a lot going on outside of Billy + Ransom. those storylines didn't detract from the book but if they all continue going forward that may become too much to follow.
will read book 2 to see if Billy + Ransom get back together.
It’s 1994 and after the passing of Willamina ‘Billy’ Stanton’s dear mother, Billy decides to put preparing for college on a short hold whilst she hits the road in hopes to reconnect with her estranged father who happens to own a bar in the middle of a small biker town where Billy sticks out like a sore thumb.
On the way there, Billy’s car breaks down on the side of he road and this is where she meets Ransom Lawson, enforcer of the biker gang ‘The Immortals’ and the saner half of the Lawson twin duo. Ransom and Billy hit it off immediately with chemistry just bouncing off of one another. Head over to https://sablesarchive.wordpress.com/ for full reviews and IR recommendations.
This was the best book yet by Young and I have read all of the books by this author I can find. I will not gonba give too much away but OMG, say it ain't so. Angela and Billy are roomies. Harley and Kevin and Digger are now into what they are into. DEA! What the freak. Did not see that comibg. The Mrs. steppin out. Say it ain't so. Ransom losing his mind. OMG. I need the 2nd book now. Wow. Best book so far by this author. Ahhhhhhh! Why cant we have the other 2 books in the series now. I need to know what's gonna happen and I need to know now! Get this book folks. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. But you will be pulling your hair out bc it's a cliffhanger.
