How To Be A Germophobe: Avoiding Sickness In Today's Germy World

Rate this book
If an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, this book is an ounce of prevention. Think about how much money getting sick costs. There are lost wages, doctor visits, medicines, and various home remedies. All of these come at a high price. This book teaches you how to be careful in public places as well as at home to avoid as many illness causing germs as possible.

Review:

This is a great, practical guide on how to prevent coming in contact with germs during every day life. I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and unfortunately I know a lot about fearing germs. I learned a lot about ways to prevent contact with germs that I never thought about, such as using a paper towel when pumping gas, using a bag to pick up eggs/meat in a store, sanitizing library book covers, and using immunity boosting supplements. I will have to look into those. This is a wonderful book, and I will definitely be using these tips in my every day life. My only concern is becoming obsessive about it - after all I do have OCD - but that would be my own problem, not because of the book - haha. If you do use these tips, please try to remember that germs are necessary in life, and these tips are precautionary and not meant to rule your life. That is just my advice.

How To Be A Germaphone: Avoiding Sickness in Today's Germy World
by Pam June

I was actually really happy to receive this book to review and I know my family would get a kick out the topic. You see, I am absolutely paranoid when it comes to germs, mites, and anything with an 'icky' potential. I really enjoyed reading this book! Just when I thought I knew everything about germs, Pam June stepped in and filled in the gaps for me. This book reminds us that we really need to be aware of our surroundings. Places and objects that we may not even consider, are germ filled! There are some great tidbits and suggestions in this book. It is easy to read, short, sweet, readable for any age, and offers some great ways for us to remain safe and healthy.

My thanks go to the Publisher who provided this book to me through the GoodReads First Reads program.
