HOW HAD HE FATHERED A STRANGER’S CHILD?

Shot on a covert rescue mission, Logan McGrath came home to Texas to recuperate. He’d wanted peace, but instead found a terrified redhead on his doorstep. An alluring stranger who’d given birth to a beautiful baby boy…his baby boy.

Mia Crandall claimed he wasn’t the donor she’d chosen. But someone had arranged the illegal surrogacy, and now they wanted Mia out of the way. Only, Logan soon realized the killer who hunted her wasn’t nearly as frightening as the tender feelings she stirred inside him. And if Logan ever wanted to get a chance at fatherhood, he’d have to protect the mother of his child at all costs.

Cute story....she thinks he's his brother and was just hoping to get him to help deliver her baby, his nephew.

But as he delivers the baby, and soon learns that he is father to this child. She disappears right after giving birth. For the next two months, he pursues tracking a woman and child that doesn't want to be found. But once he does, he knows, he's not going to let them go!

Knowing she was in trouble, she found the house of her baby's uncle who happened to be a doctor, the only who could help her deliver her baby as there are too many people after her. She can't trust anyone. She couldn't even trust her baby's uncle - but once she found out he wasn't a doctor, she had to run! This was the father and he could be behind all of this

But once her baby's father finds them, she soon learned she had made one mistake, coming back for her baby's 2-month checkup! Now not only has he found her but so had someone else. Why else would someone follow them and blow uo their car?
Who, besides the father of her baby, would want to harm her so they could take her baby.

He just wanted a chance to get to know his son, but also the chance to help his sons mother as she was obviously in some sort of trouble. Once he figured out why she was running, could he stop her and share with her his sons life?
His ex, her prisoned father, her current boyfriend/also old boyfriend, and a stranger who wanted to help them and take the rest down all seem to know where they were no matter what they did to keep where they were going a secret.
How can he protect his son and his independent and beautiful mother when it seemed as everyone was after them? How could he protect his heart from his son's beautiful mother?

Note-had to keep reading this one so I could finish it one sitting! It was that good! This one is a favorite I'll definitely read in the future!

I loved this book. It grabbed me, and sucked me from the first chapter. I loved the way Mia, and Logan met for the first time. I don’t want to spoil the book for you, so I won’t go in to detail. You will just have to read the book. The action is intense, as Mia, and Logan dodge bullets, while trying to figure out who wants them dead. The suspense was really good. I was not able to guess who the villain was. The book did have a lot of characters, so it was hard to narrow it down to just one bad guy…

Sample from chapter 3 – Logan yelled for them to get down. But he didn’t wait for her to comply. He dived at Mia and knocked her to the ground. He didn’t stay there. He came up, with his gun drawn and ready to fire. But it was already too late. There was a thick, heavy blast from the open window of the gray car. The brutal sound tore through the otherwise quiet community and slammed right past where Mia had just been standing.

Sample from chapter 8 – Yes. George Devereux. The pieces to this puzzle kept multiplying, and the only pieces that fit were the ones that spelled out the potential for an even more dangerous situation. Mia didn’t want Genevieve’s criminal father involved in this.

Sample from chapter 12 – Logan snagged her wrist and examined the scrapes on her right hand. Then he cursed. Oh mercy. She hadn’t intended for him to see that. “It looks worse than it is, she said, trying to soothe some of the reborn anger. “I did that.” “Yes, when you saved my life. Or maybe it happened when you put your body over mine so that you’d get shot and I wouldn’t. Either way, I owe you and these scrapes are a minor price to pay for being alive.” Logan obviously didn’t agree because he cursed again and would have moved away from her if she hadn’t latched on to his arm. Mia didn’t allow doubts to enter her head. She leaned in to kiss him. But he beat her to it. His mouth came to hers. The kiss was hard and hungry and Mia knew this wasn’t going to stop.

Newborn Conspiracy was an okay book, I couldn't get into it as well as some before. The review on the back led me to believe that it would be different.

Logan McGrath and Mia Crandall have only one thing in common their son, Tanner. Tanner was conceived through surrogacy that Mia had done because she wanted a child. The place that she went was already under investigation, but she didn't know until she was already pregnant.

Logan got shot Christmas day outside his house and just little time later he ends up meeting her on his brother's doorstep. Mia just doesn't realize that it is not his brother at first. It takes six week until Logan can track her down again because she goes into hiding.

Mia is being followed and somebody wants her dead. I had the guy pegged on who did it the first time I saw him in the book. She does not want Logan near their son at the beginning of the book. However, by the time the book ends she wants more a lot more.

I really couldn't stand Logan's psycho ex-girlfriend was so glad when she bit the dust. There was more than one shoot out during the book and Logan had to keep moving her to different place because the bad guy was always one step ahead of them.

I loved the secondary character Jason, who was Logan's top guy. I wish that it had showed him more in this book. I hope that maybe he is in another one of the books down the line. I would love to read a book with Jason in it.

I hope anybody that reads this book enjoys it, Delores Fossen is a great author. I just couldn't get into this book myself hope anybody else enjoys it, not that I didn't. the book.

Logan McGrath
Mia Crandall

Logan is recovering from a gunshot wound to the leg at his brothers house when Mia lands on his porch in labor. Logan assists in the delivery of her baby only to discover his is the father. He’s not sure how this happened since he doesn’t even know Mia and before he can get any answers she is in her car and gone with the baby. He tracks her down and then the mystery of who is trying to get Mia, Tanner, the baby and Logan starts. This is a very good fast read. I liked the characters and how they interacted. I liked how the relationship between Logan and Tanner was immediate and then continued to grow. I liked how the relationship between Mia and Logan grew but was not based on their mutual feelings for Tanner. I would like to read the next story about Collena Drake and her baby. #1050 The Horseman’s Son

Should have been good if not for the plotholes. And there were a lot of nonsensical red herrings thrown in the way.

It's a good thing that the author strike a balance between the romance and the action.
