This book documents what kind of duties someone in the Secret Service would perfom in the 1850s/60s. Now I'm not sure how accurate it is, but it was ok.

Recommended 12+ for violence.

INTERESTING

This a great book. I would recommend to those of us interested in the nitty gritty of the civil war. It is hard to imagine living at a time and in a place where you were not sure where you and your friends stood.
