Who really was Leonardo da Vinci? What education did he receive, what were his tastes and ideas? What life did the man defined as the greatest genius of all time lead? This unique synthesis of art, science and technology is the subject of this volume which restores all of the complexity to a figure-symbol of the Italian Renaissance.
Not a bad book with some great illustrations, but in my opinion there isn't enough general knowledge about Leonardo and his works. The author writes very long sentences which can be confusing sometimes. Also, the text and the the images aren't always chronological.
